About 42 Perry St New York, NY 10014
Just off the corner of tree-lined Perry and West 4th, this very quiet, 1 bedroom 1 bath, 3rd floor walk-up apt boasts bright southern exposure and high ceilings. Two oversized windows in living room face away from the streets, overlooking the lovely gardens in the back, one of the windows opens onto a fire escape with treetop view in the summer. The living room features exposed brick, a decorative fireplace, high ceilings. Kitchen includes blonde wood cabinets, black granite countertop, tiled backsplash, deep stainless steel sink, modern track lighting and appliances consist of a 2 burner stove, convectional oven/microwave and half-sized fridge with small freezer (I cook often and the burners and fridge work well for me). 7'6" x 8'10" bedroom is large enough for a full size bed and a dresser. Spacious 21'8"x12' living room. Windowed bathroom with pedestal sink and bathtub. Brand new washers and dryers in the basement and live-in super. Available January 1st. I bought a place in Brooklyn so I am breaking my current lease. The new tenant will sign a new one or two year lease with management company for Jan 1 move in. This no-fee apartment is essentially rent-stabilized (for reference: 9 years ago it was rented to my friend for $2,595, so the rent rose a meager $300 in 9 years) making it one of the best one bedroom deals you will find in the West Village. A 3 minute walk to either 2/3 line on 14th street or 1 train on Christopher or 5 minute walk to the West 4th St A,C,E,F,V,B,D subway station.
