Could be worse

First off, I'm happy with the apartment only due to the enhancements my roommate and I have made to make living here more enjoyable. The common areas are hardly ever maintained. Trash is always on the ground, whether it's by the trash bins, or in the small front yard. The landscaping is also poorly maintained. There is an overgrown bush that serves as a privacy barrier between our building and the one next door. I have to duck down every time just to walk through the walkway that the bush hangs over. The locks on the garage door are old, and have broken once before. The garage door itself has signs of deterioration, causing the handle to break off multiple times. The washer and dryer machines sometimes eat quarters. The kitchen sink and disposal unit have also seen better days. The floors squeak all over the place, causing our downstairs neighbors to think we stomp as we walk. The neighborhood is decent, but not the most glamourous. If you're in need of an affordable apartment, close to an elementary school, and centrally located enough to downtown and the beach, then this area might be for you. Hope this helps someone in their search for their next home.
