Spacious 1 bedroom apartment at 37th and Powelton available now. I've lived here for happy 3 years, two of which were with my girlfriend. Plenty of space for a couple. Pet friendly with a fenced-in sideyard for pups. Gorgeous amount of sunlight, huge bay windows that face west for gazing at the sunset. Trolley 10 stops a block away, less than 5 minutes from the eL. I can vouch for the place and for the landlord, flexible and responsive to my needs. Common areas are cleaned twice a month by pros. Area is patrolled by Penn police, Drexel cops, UCity Yellow Jackets and Philly cops. Very safe, but never intrusive. I use the laundromat 2 blocks away, where they wash and fold 2 weeks of clothes for two people for ~$25. I've had a great three years here. Easy commute to any workplace in West Philly with easy access to Center City. Ample free street parking available at your doorstep and neighborhood parking zones available for peace of mind. 5-10 min walk to Drexel/Penn campuses, 3 minutes to Penn Presby, where I work as an RN. I've felt pretty spoiled these last few years. Neighbors are friendly and noise has never been a problem. Appliances and windows were replaced and the exterior/front porch were redone just before I moved in. Utilities run from $60-110/month, depending on your habits. Extra storage space can be made available in the basement for those who need it.
