About This Home

12 Month Lease, $750 deposit, Available Sep 1

Hi there! We have two bedrooms in a stand-alone house on Washington St. in Arlington. I live here with my daughter. The kitchen and baths are well updated, and the house is surprisingly well-insulated against the heat and cold. Common areas are open for all to enjoy and fill and decorate as you like. Unless you have terrible taste. :) The basement room is half the footprint of the house, and the other half is unfinished but well lit and free of water or spiders, so if one wanted workshop or inventory space or crafting space, have at it. The main floor room faces the kitchen, has two windows and a closet, and has great morning light. The house is pet friendly, as are we! We currently have no pets but the house is pretty pet proof. I'm the sole person on the lease, and I've been here for about five years. If you'd like to be on that lease, it's a phone call away! If you'd like a shorter or longer stay than 12 months, we can talk about that. Utilities are split evenly and are pretty manageable three ways. We have ample off-street parking, which is handy in Arlington since there's no overnight street parking most places. There are a number of parks and woodlands to hike and explore within walking distance of us, and since we're on the Winchester side of Arlington, we're close to farmers' markets and Burlington for all your malling needs, and so on. Yard work and snow removal are included. They do a pretty good job! What else did I miss. The bus comes right up Washington St. and stops in front of our house. I'm a work from home graphic designer, and I'm mainly upstairs at work. We're all pretty clean, but we're not crazy about it. We pick up after ourselves and all that. Let me know if you have any questions. Best, Mike

Neighborhood

Arlington Heights comprises one of three neighborhoods in Arlington and lies to the west of Arlington’s center. Located six miles northwest of Boston, this area is home to some historically significant sites and architecture and a more diverse housing market than the rest of Arlington.

A large number of famous residents, including actor Timothy Hutton, basketball player Tiny Archibald, and poet Robert Creeley have lived in Arlington Heights. Its dedication to preserving green space and natural areas has resulted in more than a dozen parks and historical sites in the town’s 5.5 square miles. Families love the area for its relative serenity and great schools, but all renters will find something they love thanks to single-family homes, mid and low-rise apartments, and a charming smattering of local restaurants and shops.
