The Preston represents the exciting rebirth of the historic Women?s Medical College (WMCP). Women?s Medical College was the first medical school for women in the United States and it opened its doors here in 1929. The gracious architecture, mature trees, and 12 acre campus setting reflect the site?s storied past as a college and hospital, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Anne Preston was the first graduate of WMCP and later became the first female dean in the United States. We selected our name in honor of Dr. Preston and are pleased to offer residents a lifestyle based on health and wellness in celebration of the buildings origins.
