Just a few miles southwest of Denver, Sheridan is a great location for people interested in winter sports. Sheridan, Colorado is a small suburb with great chain restaurants, public schools, movie theater, skate parks, and public parks. River Point at Sheridan is the premiere shopping spot with an expansive outdoor location and a wide variety of restaurants and stores.
The largest parks within the area are Sheridan Community Park and Alice Terry Park, but there are other smaller spots spread throughout town. Side-by-side with the South Platte River, residents of Sheridan enjoy running, hiking, and biking on the eight-mile Mary Carter Greenway Trail. The Bear Creek Trail, spanning 14.5 miles, intersects with the Mary Carter Greenway and is another popular hiking location. The Broken Tee Golf Course is a big attraction to the area and takes up a decent amount of land in Sheridan.
