Are you interested in spending two years in a gorgeous house in East Oakland at a very low rent (for Bay Area standards) in exchange for loving our senior dog while living and taking care of our home?
We are moving back to France for two years to be with aging family.
We’re looking to sublet 3 bedrooms in our beautiful, one of a kind (see pictures) home for 2 years starting July 1st 2022
The first room is the master bedroom, fully furnished, (S1300/month + UTILITIES + 2-month deposit)
The second room is a large guest room, fully furnished (with projector and all) ($1200 + UTILITIES + 2-month deposit)
The third room is a small guest room, fully furnished ($700/month + UTILITIES + 2-month deposit)
Super fast internet and garbage pickup service are included.
In exchange for this, you must become best friends with our dog Brooklyn who unfortunately has to stay behind during the time we'll be away.
You will be sharing the place with 2 other people, the house is huge (4000 sq ft in a 10000 sq ft lot) so plenty of space for 3 people.
HOUSE COMES FULLY FURNISHED with 3 shared bathrooms, 1 shower, 1 bathtub, sleeping porch, hot tub, trampoline, tree house, huge garden with a dozen fruit trees, washer and dryer in the basement and gated parking for 4 cars.
Public transportation is close at hand with BART but it is best if you own a car.
This is a perfect rental for a professional or student, ideally someone who works from home, likes to take care of the garden, and is handy enough to take care of a big house.
Also, if you own a lot of stuff or furniture, this might not be the best place for you.
Obviously, you must love dogs, you won’t be offended if she sleeps in your bed. We want someone who considers a very cuddly, low-maintenance dog to be a bonus not a burden.

THIS IS A RENTAL FOR THE FULL 2 YEARS from July1st 2022 until July 2024, please don't bother asking if you could rent only for a portion of that time.
And unfortunately, NO PETS ALLOWED! as our 13 year-old pit bull is wonderful with people but not with other pets (especially cats)
