Wappingers Falls is a small suburban village positioned just south of Poughkeepsie on the banks of Wappinger Creek. The Historic District covering much of the village center includes exquisite examples of vintage architecture dating back to the 18th century, including Civil War-era row houses, the pre-Revolutionary Mesier-Brewer House, and the Grinnell Library, one of the oldest libraries in the state.

3rd floor apartment
The rent is very nice for the apartment But I don't recommend renting here, the landlord is a very nice guy but you will never see him, he doesn't care for the property much other then landscapers coming once a month, on that topic in the winter the private driveway for the building only gets plowed after 5 inches of snow has landed, if it's less then that then Noone cleans the snow and it turns to ice. There have been many small crashes in the driveway because most of the time It is just a sheet of ice in the winter. You will be told heat and hot water is included in rent, heat is NOT included in your rent Also on that note, it is painfully hot in the summer and blistering cold in the winter, every room in my apartment has cracks in the window frames that let's outside air in and counters your heat/air conditioning Also if you were like me then at first you don't mind all the stairs living on the 3rd floor but after a while it kills you and that's one of the big reasons for moving out Only other downside to living here is, the building is right next to a fire house and their horn blows alot in the middle of the night and will wake you up
