About This Property
---- SCHEDULE A SHOWING ONLINE AT: http://showmojo.com/lac/22a17f5094 ---- This substantial brick home was built in 1905, and has only had a few owners in the last hundred years. The large house as been split into three apartments, and completely restored to it's original glory. All of the original features of the house have been preserved, including the picture rails, douglas fir flooring, doors, windows, and claw foot bathtub. All of the windows were restored by a professional carpenter, and open and close perfectly. The original period light fixtures have been rewired and placed back in service, ready to glow for another century. The kitchen has been completely renovated utilizing vintage metal cabinets and a remaining wooden pantry. The tongue and groove kitchen ceiling was carefully removed, insulated, and pieced back together, leaving the character intact. We even replaced the entire kitchen sub floor, then covered the surface in blue and white composite tile. I found a perfectly preserved 1953 Frigidaire, along with a vintage push button GE range. The apartment has a screened "sleeping porch", which faces east and provides a cool respite during the hot afternoons. The Barrio Santa Rosa Neighborhood is just a few blocks south of downtown, and within walking distance of all the culture and nightlife Tucson's urban core has to offer. The surrounding architecture includes many other historic territorial victorians, Sonoran rowhouses, bungalows, and modern infill development. The neighborhood has a community garden and several public parks. This house is also directly across the street from the Five Points Market, and next to the St Vincent de Paul Thrift Store (the best thrift store in the city). The apartment has a mini-split air conditioner/heater, which provides silent and efficient climate control year round. It also utilizes an electric tankless water heater to keep utility costs low. One bedroom, living room, One bath, large eat-in kitchen, screen porch, 750 square feet, large fenced yard, shared washer and dryer, and secured covered parking for one car. $1000 due at lease signing. This includes a $550 refundable security deposit, a $200 cleaning fee, and a $250 leasing fee. We do charge a $40 per person application fee, and all potential tenants will be screened for credit, prior evictions, and criminal history. Well behaved pets are welcome, with an additional $200 per pet refundable deposit. Tenant pays electric (each apartment is separately metered), plus $30 monthly towards water/sewer/trash. There is no gas service. Owner is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Arizona.
