I'm a single dad renting out his spacious, newly renovated and fully furnished English basement apartment, located in the north Petworth / Brightwood neighborhood - a 15 minute walk from the Fort Totten Metro Station. I occupy the house upstairs with my two children under the age of 12, who are with me 3 nights a week (Thur, Fri, Sat). The apartment is available for immediate occupancy. Lease term is subject to negotiation. My preference is for a flexible month-to-month renter or someone comfortable with an initial 6-mo lease (extendable by mutual agreement). I can consider up to a 12-month lease; however, in this case the rent would be $1,700/mo. The rent includes all utilities and wifi. Street parking is available, but I also have a parking pad and can negotiate a price for shared use. This is a great space for anyone looking for a neighborhood feel - but still accessible to all of DC. Great for anyone working at Children's Hospital or on the Hill, both of which are a straight shot down North Capitol Street. If interested, there is also potential for babysitting opportunities from time-to-time. This is a non-smoking house.
