About This Property
FOR RENT – 2 Bedroom / 1 Bath – $2,500.00 monthly We have a really nice 3-flat (brownstone) in the eastern part of Lincoln Park. My wife and I live on the top two floors and the first floor is a nice rental – high 11 foot ceilings - central air/heat – dish washer – washer/dryer in unit – newer kitchen appliances w/ butcher block counter top – combo hardwood floors in kitchen and dining room – carpeting in living room and bedrooms and a great sheltered back porch and yard. The street is narrow and tranquil. Some say it has a European ambiance. Public transportation is wonderful – one block to buses 22 & 36 - two blocks to the 151 & 156 and 5 blocks to the red/brown/purple “L” lines. The neighborhood is just wonderful! Walk or bike to the the park, to the LP Zoo, to the beach to Target or Trader Joe’s A car is not necessary but if you need one Zip car is a block away. A drawback is that street parking maybe hard to come by (and permit only from 6:00 p.m. to midnight)– if you have a vehicle you may want to rent a space nearby. We are looking for one or two quiet people – Sorry No Pets – No Smoking inside (of any kind) A few more things..The front bedroom holds a king size bed easily – the back bedroom holds a queen size.. The bathroom is small and has been redone – new tile floor – new vanity & facets -etc.. The back of our home has no alley – it is totality surrounded by our neighbors properties – in fact the west wall is 100 ft long & 50 ft high covered in ivy. This makes us feel pretty secure. One draw back is the kitchen looks dated – and it is – but everything works well. The washer/dryer is just 18 months old and handles 3.8 cu ft of wash and 5.9 cu ft of dry. This maybe important because you can get a lot of laundry done quickly. Our previous tenants who worked from home often - said their gas & electricity bills ranged between $130-$170 per month. One more thing it seems the layout is conducive for two people that hybrid work to be at home on the same days and each have enough privacy.
