move in at the beginning was rocky but my husband and i are so in love with the place! the amenities are great too! we have a god and he loved the dog park as well
Overall, a great place to have lived for the last 3 years. Any issues I ever had were minor and resolvable by apartment management or by myself. Can't beat waking up to a view of the city and the free coffee from the lobby. I'll definitely miss walking to the Baltimore Farmer's Market on Sundays and down to the Inner Harbor for various events and to just enjoy the sights.
It's good but not overall great. There is definitely improvement that is needed with the professionalism and promptness of staff. Also complex is not staying as clean as it was previously when we moved in.
Leasing process did not go too well. Office staff was not reachable and very little help was given. I felt ignored and that my business was not appreciated.

I’ve been a resident at 225 N Calvert Street for a while, and while I used to love this place under the previous management (before 2025), things have gone downhill since the new management took over. • Management response is very poor now. It’s difficult to get timely help or updates. • We’ve had ongoing A/C issues, which are especially frustrating during extreme weather. • Utility bills are unusually high, both in winter and summer. • Fire alarms go off multiple times each month, forcing us to take the stairs frequently—even when there’s no real emergency. • There’s no management presence on weekends (Saturday or Sunday), which is very inconvenient when urgent issues arise. If I were rating the previous management, I would give them 5/5 stars. But the new management gets 0/5 for their lack of support and poor maintenance. I hope the management takes steps to improve, as this building has great potential but is not being handled properly anymore.
I moved into 225 for the size of my apartment, the ability to have a reserved parking spot and the amenities. I was happy to pay the amenity fee of $300 knowing I could invite a friend or two over to enjoy the penthouse with me but what has happened in the last 6 months is that the penthouse is rented out every weekend, sometimes consecutively by someone running a business. The residents no longer have access to that area, even the outside area ( which we used to have) and frequently we get a last minute notice or not at all. We should be notified a week in advance. Also, the building seems to not be as clean as it was in the past. Many of us noticed trash and food all over the pool deck over the weekend. Unfortunately residents in this building do not report issues, they just make a statement that they won't be renewing. With this summer heat we are noticing the hallways are humid and that can cause more of an odor problem. I hope things improve.
I have asked to fix my A/C but they came and fixed nothing. Today my unit was 83 F while I had my A/C thermostat on 65. I am thinking to move after my lease finish this year.
225 N Calvert has been a great introduction to my time in Baltimore. Affordable at my income, I have access to many amenities and live walking distance from the inner harbor. Sure there are some small issues, but my overall experience has been good, which I feel speaks volumes.

This place was great under the previous management and staff. Towards the end, I noticed that the concierge desk wasn’t staffed as often, events went from being 2-3x a month to once a month, and there are so many issues with elevators not working and water pipes bursting/leaking. Not to mention the dog pee in the elevators!

Parking is scarce, having issues within the building goes unaddressed and utility bills have skyrocketed with no explanation. Only perks are you have an attached garage and the cleaners do the best they can to keep the place clean.

Just moved in a month ago and it’s off to a good start. I was unable to tour in person and had to do a virtual tour but the pictures look just alike. So far I haven’t had any issues with crime or car break ins, the parking garage seems to be very secured. (Knocks on wood) I like how spacious my apartment is and the amenities are nice, I will say that I have attempted to use the coffee machine once and it wasn’t working so I left it alone. I was looking forward to some coffee that day so it was a bit unfortunate. Walls seems to be good enough, I can’t always hear my neighbors but I can smell them though when they decide to smoke even though they’re not supposed to. Nonetheless, I would recommend the move here. I’m enjoying it.

I have lived at 225 N Calvert for less than a month at this point. However I really appreciate the quick responses I’ve received to requests for repairs or other requests from the leasing staff. The building is also very well maintained and clean.

I’ve been really impressed with my experience at 225 N Calvert. The concierge system is fantastic, and I appreciate how frequently they share updates about the apartment. The amenities inside the apartment are great, and the overall move-in process was smooth, thanks to the helpful staff. Tina, in particular, was incredibly accommodating during a busy time. While email responses could be more consistent, any issues I had were promptly resolved over the phone or in person. I’m very satisfied with my experience here.

The apartment community is great. The staff is great. Building is usually always kept clean and there are always tons of resident events. I enjoyed living here truly. I would knock off 1/2 a star for the parking garage. There is no visitor parking or day passes to request so if you have someone staying the weekend expect the cost of them to park for that long to be about $80. Outside of that there grocery store is in walking distance (2 blocks away) the Harbor is 3 blocks away. And there’s easy access to the highway. It’s a great spot and not too much happens.

Love the view from my apartment and the penthouse. Everything is within walking distance and there's plenty to do in the neighborhood. Leasing office has excellent customer service and support. Great place to live.

Move-in was a breeze. I was able to reserve the loading dock for move-in which was great. The freight elevator was large enough for everything I needed to move in. The residents were all nice and helpful during the move in process. After a month of living here and experiencing everything the building and the community has to offer, I'm super pleased with my experience here at 225 N. Calvert. There is so much to do in the local area that at times, I have to remind myself to slow down and enjoy what I have where I'm living. So far, this has been a lovely place to rest, relax, and rejuvenate during and after a long work week.
