Property Ratings at 225 East 85th Street- 1 Month Free
Overall with all the bad experiences I've heard about in NY, this was a good experience, since they rent no fee apartments, the super was always helpful and fixed everything I needed help with right away. The building is 2 blocks from the subway station, around the block there is a good supermarket and all the restaurant you could need, and it also has a balcony with an awesome view. The only problem so far is the excessive high rent, and all the policies the management office has.
Spacious studio within an elevator building with a separate (pass through) kitchen with plenty of cabinet space. Apartment also contains separate bath with a clean tub/shower. There is a "walk in" closet, more of an L shape, but you can literally walk through it. There are four windows so tons of light to brighten up the room, all while people watching as you face the street in this 2nd floor apt. Building equipped for (fast) Verizon services. Video intercom system with double doors to get inside and super lives onsite. Building is well maintained with laundry right in the basement. You are steps from the post office and the building management company for easy access to drop of your rent on the 1st of the month. You are between two major avenues so you have an option of plenty of bars, restaurants, and buses. You are only 2 blocks from the subway and have access to everything you could possibly need from the gym, banks, and even an occasional trip to Shake Shack!. The building seems to be comprised of mostly young professionals but completely quiet and relaxing. You will not regret this safe, clean and seriously spacious Upper East Side studio!
