The typical one-bedroom around here runs about 700. It is a loft, not a flat. The living room is downstairs, double-height, with a gas fireplace and tall doors opening onto the courtyard. An open stair climbs past a full-length skylight to the upper floor, which holds the kitchen, the bedroom, the bath, and a wall of built-in closets. In between, a mezzanine landing opens back over the living room. Two floors and a loft. Because nothing is attached to it, there are windows on all four sides, plus the full-length skylight overhead.
