The city calendar features signature events like Georgia's largest Memorial Day ceremony and the Alive in Roswell festival, running monthly from April through October.

Property Ratings at 2200 Big Creek Apartments
My husband and I moved into this apartment complex in 2021 and have been very pleased. The community feels safe, great location, the apartments are clean and the leasing office has been nothing but kind and helpful. We have had our issues (apartment flooded twice) but each time it happened - maintenance was here within minutes and the problem was resolved. I’ve been in apartments since college and of course no complex is ever perfect but overall, it’s been a great experience the last year. I recommend living here!
Do NOT stay at these apartments. They are extremely dishonest, they refused to show a breakdown for the deductions taken out of our security deposit when the apartment was left in the same condition that it was when we moved in. There was an overage payment where they had taken out more then we owed our last month and they never refunded it, despite calling and emailing multiple times. Worst experience I’ve had with an apartment complex. Save your money and find another apartment complex.
Have lived here for over five years with no issues, but I recently requested for my front door lock to be changed and I was met with resistance from the maintenance guy. Very disappointed!
It is almost July and the pool still closed. Management gives crazy excuses. Horrible place!
Today is June 25 and pool is not open yet!!!!! What is going on! Management don’t know when it will be open! So who knows? It’s crazy!
Roach City. Population: this apartment complex. Do not live here unless you are one with the bugs and really enjoy their company. Everything else was fine and whatever. Nice apartment size for a one bed/bath. Reasonably priced. Safe area and well kept. Close to the highway. Friendly staff in the front office. So. Many. Bugs. Though. My kill count rivals that of a top tier Arrow exterminator at this point, but I'm not here to brag. Just want to provide a heads up. And sure, you can throw a maintenance request their way and they might squeeze you in next time they call in the big guns for a spray down. But don't expect it to help at all. If you have no problem killing half a dozen roaches on the daily, then consider this place 5 stars and disregard this review.
Looks nice... but management is very unprofessional, bad at business and looks for opportunities to get over on the residents. Everyone is very nice and pleasant when you trying to move in, remember not to trust a smile. I was told that rent was due on the 4th of every month and have set up my bank account to automatically pay the rent on the 4th. After over a year of paying my rent on the 4th, I started to get charged $85 for every month that my rent was paid on that day. Thinking this was some kind of error I contacted the office only to find out that rent is actually due on the 3rd. When I mentioned that I have always been paying my rent on the 4th and never got charged a late fee, their reply was, "oh we have new management now". Even if there was a miscommunication they could've solved this situation amicably by recognizing their mistake and just waive the late fees. But NO, they're way too unprofessional to do that. I have also been paying my rent online for over a year and one day I go to pay my rent and see that they added a $30 convenience fee charge. How is paying $30 convenient? It's almost like paying another utility bill and they gave us no warning and we were forced to pay it. All the gutters are stopped up. When it rains mud drips down on you from the dirt trapped in there. I have told them, but of course no response. Their too busy ripping off the tenants.
I was skeptical when I first moved in 9 months ago since half of the units were still under renovation, and my actual apartment was only about 99% finished on move-in day... They were back the next day to touch up everything that was remaining and did a really nice job. The units look FANTASTIC on the outside compared to what they looked like when I first toured the neighborhood a year ago. Truly a remarkable job renovating. The interior is visually very nice, but you'll see a few cracks and knicks in the walls/ceilings, some pencil lines where they were aligning cabinets, old screw/nail holes from the previous ceiling fixtures. Nothing worth caring about at all, but still noticeable. All in all, the access to 400; along with direct foot/bike access to the greenway, 2200 Big Creek was a fantastic choice. The pool/grill area is nice. The gym onsite has been closed for renovations almost all year it seems, so that's a shame. I look forward to it reopening soon hopefully. They just paved the roadway coming into the neighborhood as well, so there's obviously still a lot of work going on; albeit improvements. You can tell that this place has it all moving in the right direction.
Pros - proximity to Greenway and 400 Cons - poor communications, false promises to sign you up for lease, disrespect tenants, poor finish work/maintenance, management very proud/not-to-be-bothered for existing tenants Under new management (and new name "2200 Big Creek"), but same staff so the problems persist. They just renovated the exteriors, so it looks good, but the interiors are dated and the finish work is lacking. Compared to similarly sized properties in the area, they offer less for the same amount. Management will be difficult if they don't feel like helping, but when you go in to lease for the 1st time, they'll be the most helpful/delightful! They evicted people in the apartments that they felt like renovating, with only 30 day notices. They'll let you know something's happening either the day of, or the day after. Received several notices to renew lease several weeks after the date they had printed on their letter, as well as several days after the renewal fines kicked in. They have a lot of construction planned, they advertise that they'll work with you and accommodate you, but yet to see that happen. They stage construction so it's convenient for them, and don't care for you. Have a young child trying to sleep? Don't worry, they'll set-up their table saw right outside your window. Call and ask them to move? No problem! Let's move closer and start that generator too! It was laughable how idiotic it was. Called maintenance a few times, answer was, "oh, you're moving out in a few months anyway, so why bother now?". Called to request repairs at other times and was told they didn't think the problem existed. The Mars guys who show up are terrible, both in terms of how they drive and behave around the place, and also in terms of workmanship. Took 4 tries to tack down the carpet...They'll enter your apartment without any notice (only way we found out was through security cams and the wet paint stains) They make up rules and print them out and stick it in your door, along with new fines you never saw in your lease agreement. The dumpster always backs up, and they'll fine you if you leave your trash when it's backed up. Promised 48hr maintenance response...took 6 months after moving in first response, 8 weeks the second time...With two of us at home, if they communicate with one, they'll lie about the conversation with the other (who would even think to do that??! we live in the same place, you don't think we talk to each other?!)
Customer service from management is nonexistent. They regularly promise to repair or respond to an issue then there is no follow through. We have had to call/email multiple time for repairs with many issues going unfixed. They are currently making major renovations to this out-dated complex with no thought to the safety of their residents. The complex is old and very dated. Walls are cracked. The fitness center is a joke. The pool is not enjoyable for anyone except the millions of children. Parking lots and road surfaces are not maintained. Workers pick up trash from a golf cart missing the many pieces. Bottomline, this place is not worth the money. The only bright spot is living next to the greenway.
The apartment staff is always polite and helpful. Ramona and Tanya are a great management team! The newly renovated apartments are beautiful and now they are working on giving the entire complex a new look. We have a path that leads directly to Big Creek which has excellent cycling and hiking trails! Great location! Karen
30 year old apartments are still beautiful set in a pristine wooded area. Close to GA 400 and Big Creek park. Maintenance is great although the office could be a little more courteous. Overall, very happy here.
