A quintessential military town, the community of Lexington Park grew up around Patuxent Naval Air Station shortly after the base was established in the 1940s. Today, the base employs around 20,000 people, most of whom live in Lexington Park or nearby, making the military a major economic and cultural driver for the area.
The landscape is mostly filled by suburban-style neighborhoods, with a rental market including apartments and houses of every shape and size. A few shopping centers scattered throughout the community cater to the residents’ day-to-day needs, mostly located along Three Notch Road and Great Mills Road.
Outdoorsy types will love the easy access to Saint Mary’s State Park, and the close proximity to Chesapeake Bay opens up endless opportunities for boating and fishing.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

About the Listing Agent
Danielle Sloan
JPAR Real Estate Professionals
If you're looking for a real estate agent who blends experience with energy, strategy with heart, and professionalism with a little bit of personality - you're in the right place. With over two decades in the real estate world and licensed since 2008, I bring a deep understanding of every twist and turn in the market. Whether it's new construction, resale, military relocation, or navigating the unique quirks of our local neighborhoods, I've seen it, worked it, and handled it with confidence. My specialty? Making sure my clients feel like the only client. Real estate isn’t just about houses, it’s about people. I’ve built my career on relationships, not transactions. I get to know my clients, their goals, their fears, their must-haves, and their “absolutely-nots.” From first-time buyers to seasoned sellers, I work hard to make the process smooth, strategic, and (dare I say?) even enjoyable. Born to hustle and raised to care, I bring creativity to the table and a calm presence when things get chaotic. I believe in communicating clearly, negotiating fiercely, and showing up - whether it’s to tour a dream home or help you navigate an appraisal hiccup. Outside of real estate, I’m a mom to two amazing adult children, a lover of travel and live music, and someone who believes a little laughter can fix just about anything. When I’m not writing contracts or staging a listing, you’ll probably find me hanging with friends, exploring a new city, or remodeling something in my own home. If you're looking to buy, sell, relocate, or just want honest advice from someone who knows the ropes and knows how to keep it real, I'm your girl. Let’s make your real estate move the best one yet!
