About This Property

Natural retreat near all the conveniences of town. This is the recently renovated lower floor of a two level house with a separate daylight basement entrance and large natural backyard. All appliances are almost new, as is everything else in this unit including laminate floors, tile bathroom, farmhouse sink, microwave, range, dishwasher, and large refrigerator. There is a fireplace, and the tiled bathtub has both a normal shower and rainforest shower option. Heat and AC are provided via efficient mini-split unit. This is a quiet and safe neighborhood only a few minutes bike ride or drive from beautiful Salmon Creek Greenway/Regional park, which has a great trail for riding or walking, a swimming/fishing pond, and softball fields. Neighbors are friendly. Despite the house feeling away from the city, there is quick easy access to I-5 or 205, and it is a short drive to several gyms, a movie theater, or virtually any large store chain you can think of. If it isn't during rush hour, the drive is 17 minutes to the Pearl District in Portland and the Vancouver WSU campus is less than 10 minutes away. Though we would have to talk about specific situations, quiet well-mannered pets are an option here with a pet deposit. Nonsmokers only. Rent includes sewer, water, electricity, and garbage/recycling. I am happy to share high speed internet for a small additional monthly fee. New washer dryer shared with upstairs neighbors (currently the owner) in a separated stairwell. I am looking for a quiet respectful tenant who takes care of the space as if it were their own, hopefully with plans to be in the area for the longer term. As mentioned, this is the bottom unit of a house, and it is important to find someone who can be considerate of noise and other's sleeping hours. The backyard has a friendly firepit and a large vegetable garden with several fruit trees. Tenants interested in growing things would be welcome to use part of this space for their own gardening aspirations as well. Looking for a year lease and month's rent deposit. I do credit and background checks via the service I use for online rental payment if we get to a stage of moving forward; and if we agree on a lease, I will take the cost of the application out of the first month's rent. I would avoid paying for the background check until we have made contact.
