Property Id: 2429539 The sweet Fox Room has views of perennial gardens, deep woods, an old stone wall and an abundance of wildlife (deer, fox, turkeys, owls, chickadees and many more!) It is cozy, quiet and on the first floor of our 3200 sq ft contemporary home facing the back of our property. It is furnished with a comfortable full size bed, desk, bench and dresser. Additionally, there is a bonus adjacent yoga room available for this housemate's exclusive use. Bed linens and towels are provided. Utilities are included. I'm a self employed, single mom w 2 kids in college, 2 goofy doodles and 1 shy rescue kitty. I enjoy both hosting and helping others get to know the beautiful Hudson Valley. I'm especially grateful for the many friendships that have resulted living with other adults from different backgrounds and stages of life. I do all that I can to ensure we are a compatible bunch, including background & credit checks, interviews, reference checks and meeting face-to-face. At any given time there may be up to 3 housemates here and my kids are home for breaks. In the past we've hosted a Chilean architecture professor, French tea taster, Hospice music therapist, traveling medical dietician, mathematics PhD student, a Brooklyn sculptor and a post doc studying the universe and gravitational waves. We are in the town of Milan, which is rural and picturesque, but also very close to the quaint villages of Rhinebeck and Red Hook for fine dining, cultural events, shopping and services. The Taconic State Parkway, Amtrak (Rhinecliff) and regional public transportation via bus are 10-20 minutes away. NYC is a 90 minute train ride away.
