The bed bug and Roach infestation was so bad in 2021 there is no way it has been fully resolved renovations or not.. The hallways and laundry room had active roach and bedbug infestation that is how bad it got. Too many dirty people that had heavy infestations long enough that they were bad within the walls. It was unreal!!!!
My husband and I walked in and see the hallway and units are completely being renovated. Look like the bugs problem has been dealt with last 3 months. We signed a new lease to move in to the new unit.
Moved into Claypool Apartments two weeks ago today. The first night we moved in we noticed the handle for the cold water in the shower was missing. Can not take a shower without burning yourself as only hot water is available in the bathroom shower. The oven does not sit evenly - very wobbly and the door handle is broken. Called the office to report these items as they were broken upon leasing and moving into the apartment. Was advised to call maintenance and complete a work order form. Called maintenance and was told that this is not an emergency and to call the next day for scheduling. Called maintenance the next day and received a message that this phone line was not accepting voice messages. How can you report an emergency if the maintenance line is not taking messages?? Called the office and was advised that "they will get to the repairs when they can get to it." Was also advised by the office that we should get a pair of pliers and use those to turn on the cold water in the shower so we can use the shower and not get scolded. REALLY? So professional! On Thanksgiving our front door knob fell off leaving us trapped inside the apartment. Again called the emergency maintenance line and was transferred to another line that did not allow a message to be left. Called family who drove to our place to let us out of the apartment. Two weeks today we have resided in this place and still NO one has called or showed up to fix the water so we can shower and the oven. I would highly advise that you do not rent from this place as it is obvious they have no interest in providing a safe and livable environment for their tenants. Have reported this Apartment Building to several authorities and am hoping action will be taken.
