Poughkeepsie, known as the Queen City of the Hudson River Valley, is a historic city in New York State. Its charming downtown district boasts a variety of small businesses and local restaurants. But the best part of Downtown Poughkeepsie is by far the beautiful views of Hudson River!
The Chance Theater and Mill House Brewing Company are two perfect examples of local gems in the Downtown community. This 1912 theater hosts concerts and live performances, so be sure to catch a show after you find your apartment in the city! Afterwards, grab a house-brewed beer and absurdly good pub fare at this local brewery set in a renovated mill.
On Main Street, just off of Hudson River, residents appreciate the access to the train from Poughkeepsie Station, along with public bus stations around town. From Irish pubs and pizza places to trendy eateries and casual dining, Downtown Poughkeepsie has it all in the Hudson River Valley.

Property Ratings at 160 Union
Living here now and and I’m very satisfied. Management is kind and very attentive, amenities advertised are actually available, and the build quality… you can tell the team designing the interior and exterior really cared about making the space feel comfortable and high-end.
I lived in the building for a year, great experience, sad I had to relocate but highly recommend!! Great location, well maintained, excellent views of Poughkeepsie from the rooftop!
I stayed here in a one bedroom apartment on the ground level for 2 years. I was first drawn by the location and proximity to Marist (where I had attended my time there). Being 5 minutes away was a great benefit. Secondly, I immediately noticed the renovated aspects of my apartment, and the building as a whole. The space sports high ceilings, energy efficient lights and appliances, and a gated parking lot with numbered spots. The staff was attentive to the few service requests I had throughout my time there, and all was remediated in quick order. The gym upstairs is a little small, but perfectly fine for myself and another to get a workout in. The rooftop terrace is a nice touch. The only complaints I had were the lack of guest parking and the noise pollution from being on a busy intersection. Overall, good living experience and would recommend.
My fiancé and I toured this building and had a wonderful experience. The building was well maintained and clean. Management was prompt and very professional!
I moved into the building on 2/1 and my son and I could not be happier. When I am in my unit you can hear a pin drop - noise from other units or the hallways is nonexistent - often times we don't even hear the traffic outside. We feel very at home, comfortable and so safe - I have no concerns at all with safety. The building was renovated with an upscale trendy feel and no corners were cut. The gym is often empty when I use it and the rooftop is such a fantastic amenity. The overall population of the building's tenants seems to be hard working individuals who work varied hours so bumping into others around the building is often a rarity. Jay, Juda, Fran, and Raul (building staff/landlords/owners/maintenance, etc.) are fantastic - the few items i needed addressed were handled immediately and it made me feel like my issue was a priority. My dealings with Sharon, the realtor were great, I actually made a friend in her! I couldn't be happier and give enough stars. Well done!!!
