About This Property
*****ONE BEDROOM AVAILABLE IN SHARED APARTMENT****** Enjoy a work-from-home haven in a luxury condo building one block from Target, Giant, Bed Bath & Beyond, Washington Sports Club (with indoor pool), a weekend farmer's market, and CVS. Room is in a quiet, light-filled 3bed/2bath condo, sharing a bathroom with one other person, an accounting professional transitioning to international development. The fully furnished kitchen, small balcony, living area, and in-unit washer/dryer are also shared with the apartment's owner, a nonprofit communications professional working from home. The bedroom includes a large walk-in closet with shelving and clothing rods, a Juliet balcony perfect for flowerboxes, and plenty of space for a queen or king bed, a desk, bookshelves, and more. The bathroom includes a bath/shower and plenty of storage. The condo boasts the largest floorplan in the building. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area frame sunset views of the neighborhood rooftops. There is plenty of room to accommodate new furniture, decorations, and ideas in the shared spaces. Secure garage parking may be able to be arranged, typically for $200-$250 a month. The modern building includes 24/7 concierge, security, and secure mail/package pick-up, trash chutes, an indoor bike cage, a party room and library, and a private outdoor courtyard. A highlight is the spacious rooftop, with several grills and seating options, a covered gazebo area, and wraparound views of DC from the National Cathedral to the Basilica—perfect for working out or taking a Zoom call in good weather. The Columbia Heights Metro is 20 feet from one of the building entrances. Many excellent 14th Street restaurants (Mexican, Filipino, Vietnamese, Indian, Italian, Ethiopian, and much more) are within walking distance for takeout and outdoor dining. Applications include a $25 basic background check/credit report. Water and gas are included in the rent. Internet and electric cost $50-$70 per person per month. Video or masked in-person tours available now. A 12-month lease preferred, but terms starting from 3 months will be considered. The bedrooms are available starting May 1, but a start date as late as early September is possible.
