Property Ratings at 12 Lincoln St
We love living here, it feels like home. Big, bright, and airy. Landlord is quick to respond and making upgrades. When we looked at this building he was upgrading sound proofing and insulation. There are other nice families and couples that live here and we all get along. Landlord is quick to resolve any neighbor issues. Safe, building is secure, need a code to get in. Other neighboring homes are with nice families. Train is three streets away, very walkable to pretty much everything downtown and close to the community trail system. See lots of people walking their dogs and cats. Close to Horne Street School, it’s an excellent school (and district), teachers are amazing. Highly recommend Sawyer School Apartments.
This building is very well taken care of by a great landlord. This is the perfect place for a clean apartment unit if you love downtown Dover but can’t swing the astronomical prices of these new luxury apartments popping up everywhere. You really can’t beat the location. The landlord is amazing. Just a really hardworking and caring guy who gives you privacy unless you need him. He responds quickly to any needs since he lives locally. My two bedroom unit has ample closets and storage space, and a large kitchen that is open to the living space. Current neighbors are friendly but keep to themselves. I am super happy with our experience here at the sawyer school!
I love living here. The apartment size for the price per month is well worth it. The landlord is amazing and any time I have ever had any type of issue arise, he has resolved it immediately. I have lived here three years and am very happy. The building is located very close to town so it is a short 5 min walk to your favorite downtown spots! I would give this building and landlord 5 out of 5 stars!
We lived at 12 Lincoln St. for about 6 years. Attentive landlord, clean facility, great neighbors, quiet, excellent downtown location. It was a great place to live for all those years.
Great price for it’s proximity to downtown Dover (so convenient), but far enough from the train to not really notice unless the windows are open. We have reserved parking spots in the lot, and there’s free street parking on 5th & on Lincoln for any guests we have! Landlord Darwin is great - quick to respond to any issues we have, and it’s clear he cares about both his property and his tenants. Plenty of space for storage, and trash/recycling are included (no Dover trash bags!) Coin-op laundry machines, but still cheaper than the laundromat - they work fine, just need to follow the directions for starting them & be patient :)
I have had a great experience renting on 12 Lincoln Street. Neighbors are down-to-earth and considerate. The apartment itself is older, appliances too, but everything is clean and functioning as it should. If there is an issue, as there will be no matter where you go- the landlord is quick to respond and quick to resolve. They will work with you to accommodate your vehicles and I especially appreciate the shoveling out of cars and pathways in winter. I give it 5 stars. It's not a luxury apartment, but I don't need that anyway. For a fraction of the price of the new downtown apartments, to me it's very much worth it.
Awesome place to live, having lived in many apartments prior to this Sawyer school is the best one I’ve lived in. The building is clean, well taken care of, and in a perfect location about a 5 minute walk to downtown. The landlord is great guy who takes pride in the building as well as the well-being of the tenants and their apartments. I would suggest this building to anyone looking for a nice home. Also the buildings history is very neat as well!
I have been renting in this apartment for just over a year now. This has been the best apartment I have ever lived in with a very caring and accommodating landlord who only wants to see the best for his tenants! The apartment building is kept clean with weekly cleanings and is a quite building located in desirable location. Work is done on the landscaping to make sure it is kept tidy and neat, flowers are planted in the beds for a beautiful spring and summer! In the winter snow is removed not only from the parking lot via plow but people are also brought in to shovel around your cars to keep the path clean for you. The neighbors are very friendly and we never hear our neighbors. Any issues with something that needs to be fixed are addressed by the landlord very quickly if not that day.
I rented from this apartment for a year. They are quick to repair any maintenance issues. It is over priced for what it is, but you are really just paying for the convenience of the location. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing. There's never enough parking. There are quite a few drug addicts that live here and we ended up having to move because we no longer felt safe and our landlord would not resolve the issue. People smoke in the building and it smells awful. Constantly fighting with neighbors to be able to get my laundry done, and don't bother wasting your money on the dryers because they don't work.
