Brentwood, which lies just northwest of downtown Jacksonville, contains plenty of homes and apartments for rent. The 16-acre Catherine Hester McNair Park, also known as Brentwood Park, provides a home to the NFL Youth Education Town. Park amenities also include lighted ball fields, basketball and tennis courts, in addition to shuffleboard and a children’s playground. The park contains a beautiful and historically significant bandstand, a rare remaining example of Neoclassical/Greek revival architecture. In addition, it hosts a community center as well as two non-profit programs, Bridge the Gap and the Clara White Mission.

Residents go to Gateway Town Center in Brentwood’s northwest corner for everything from shopping and dining to the hair salon or doctor’s office. On the east side of the neighborhood, visit the Seven Seas Crab House for a snow crab combo.
