About 111 E 56th St New York, NY 10022
This is a lease opportunity for a studio hotel room in the Lombardy Hotel at 56th and Park. This is called "The Snug" because it is small and cozy--not for everyone (250sf) but it would be 100% YOURS and is perfect if you work in Midtown and want to walk to work (or back home after a long day, especially if you work long hours!) and --this is key--have all of the amenities of a 4-star hotel. A mature professional (or even a couple) is ideal as Board approval and background/credit check is mandatory. 24-hour front desk Concierge and Bellman service, Doorman (Valet parking available for $45 per day) and weekly housekeeping is included. Your fresh bed linens and all towels (even toilet paper, hairdryer, dishwashing liquid, shampoo, and toiletries) are all included and replenished as needed. Just like any hotel, your room can be cleaned daily (for additional $25, for service beyond the weekly cleaning included in rent), and laundry and dry-cleaning can be sent out daily for a fee. Also on site is 9th Street Espresso (excellent coffee shop in the lobby), American Cut Steakhouse (terrific happy hour and amazing dinner), a seamstress, hair salon, conference room available for rent, etc. You have 24-hour gym access on the lower level. This is a HIGH-END hotel, and monthly rent includes ALL (gym, utilities, amenities, etc.) with no additional fees (other than $25 day optional for hotel housekeeping when you're there). This is the perfect solution if you need a pied-a-terre while you look for an apartment to buy, a crash pad during a temporary assignment, a comfortable and perfectly-located "bridge" accommodation while you wait to move into your next place or have your space renovated. Again--it is your own room, and while technically available for 3-6 months, the ideal tenant will take the apartment for the full six months. This is FULLY furnished (including dishware in the kitchenette, which includes a fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle, wine cooler, and dishes/flatware/glasses, etc.); there is no stove for cooking, but everything you need to enjoy take-out and snacks or restaurant leftovers is there for you. The bathroom has a full-sized deep tub and incredible water pressure in the shower; you will never run out of hot water. The 4' clothing closet has some shelving for stacking clothes and a hotel safe, as well as a luggage rack, ironing board, and iron. There is additional drawer storage in the base of the bed. This luxury hotel room is appropriate for someone who his ONLY bringing clothes, personal items, books. laptop. Space is extremely limited, and there is no room for any extra furnishings, bicycles, etc. You control your own heat and A/C (unit under window), the 50" flat-screen TV is already hooked up to wifi with ROKU (no cable included, but probably not necessary for most people). Absolutely no smoking or partying in the room. While having an occasional guests over for a beer is fine (four people fit fine in the sitting area) , strict hotel rules for quiet enjoyment and civility are observed. INCENTIVES Possible rent reduction for part-time "pied a terre" occupancy; feel free to inquire if you just need the place on a regular part-time schedule. ADDITIONAL FEE ALL utilities (electric, water, self-controlled heat and air conditioning, wifi, even fresh shampoo, soap, toilet paper, robe, hairdryer, ironing board, iron, etc.) are included in the rent. Remember, your weekly fresh towels and bed linens are included as well, and additional housekeeping can be arranged at additional $25 per day. Drycleaning and parking fees will be assessed separately if needed. OTHER INFO Ideal lessor would be a person who communicates well; remember this studio is my home, the furnishings are mine, and I need to be in compliance with Co-Op rules and not have anyone making trouble with the management. A professional working in midtown who wants to walk to work and maybe just have a perfectly clean and very comfortable sanctuary to return to after work is ideal. Someone who appreciates the amenities of hotel living and desires the convenience of daily housekeeping and fresh linens, while enjoying a luxury address with all the amenities of doorman/concierge/delivery desk, etc. is key. You're probably a minimalist who doesn't need more than a studio, or maybe a part-time visitor to NYC who needs a pied a terre available all the time on short notice but you don't want the hassle of sharing space. This entire space is YOURS--no need to interact with me or anyone else, so someone who values privacy and peace would surely find this most appropriate. This studio is very nicely furnished with antiques and artwork and artifacts, including wool rugs, bronze chandelier, Edwardian drop-front desk, mohair seating, etc. It is reminiscent of the Oak Room at the Plaza, not an Ikea showroom ... and hopefully that ambiance appeals to you since you'd need to respect the furnishings and decor and not rearrange or try to replace them. No problem with overnight guests--it IS your space--but quiet enjoyment is important. NO smoking or chronic party people ( no loud music... nor anything that would disturb other hotel guests) need apply.
