Nelsonville is known as the star of the Hocking Hills region because of its rich history. The small town was once famous in the coal, clay, salt, and brick-making industries. Rent a kayak at Murray’s Landing and paddle down the Hocking River or bike down the Hockhocking Adena Bikeway, a 21-mile ride with inspiring scenery.
