Worst place I have ever lived.
My wife and I moved in to Briarwood so that we could save some extra money for a house, what a mistake.
We paid 100 dollars before moving in for what the office called a "cleaning charge". When looking at the apartment on day 1 it was a disaster, the carpets were a mess, it smelled awful and the sink in the kitchen had a really bad leak which ruined and caused molding under the sink. We called maintenance on day 1 and it took them until the end of the day to come fix it. A few months later our shower started leaking. Calling maintenance at this place or the office is always difficult, you either need to call the emergency line and have someone get back to you hours later or go in the office and hope they aren't on "break". They did not answer any of our calls about the tub leaking until 1 am when they tried to come in our apartment (WHILE WE WERE SLEEPING) because water started dripping through the ceiling under us. They couldn't get in due to the locking chain on the door. When spending all day taking our tub apart they did not fix the leak and told us that they would fix it when they got new parts in about a month or so. Today I walked out into the kitchen to find water all over the floor, the sink is leaking again. Guess who isn't picking up the phone to come fix this. Looks like I will be doing my own maintenance on this apartment until our lease is up (cannot wait for that!) Most of the people I have talked to that live or lived here have told me that it is always been this way. These are just maintenance issues. On the website it says, club house and pool. The club house is made up of 2 offices for the employees and the pool was only open for 1 month in 2012. Laundry onsite and even in the building that we would be staying in seemed like a plus, until we realized that whenever someone does laundry it smokes out the entire stairwell. That is pretty bad considering it's an open stairwell. If you are looking for somewhere cheap to live this is a great place, but keep in mind you get what you pay for (unfriendly staff, no maintenance, lots of maintenance issues and a whole lot of empty promises).
