Rated 2.6 out of 5?by 5 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5?by big disappointment I live here and i must say the person who wrote the 1st review didn't lie. Parking is a problem for me and when u have very loud neighbor you can not wait to move out. Its a "gated" community but the gates are always open.I agree that for this money u can live in South Tampa or somewhere else. May 30, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5?by In response to the noise I have lived here from the middle of October, 2012. I do agree there is an issue with sound traveling up. I have an upstairs unit. What no one has mentioned in the posts is that your neighbor's downstairs wall is actually your stairwell going up into your apt. That is the same wall where TVs can be hung downstairs. There is no sound barrier! If the renter below has their TV on medium to loud, the sound travels up! Talking/laughing can be heard; and especially if people are outside in the middle of the night (which has happened quite a few times). Even though the windows are double, you can hear clear enough to be woken up out of a dead sleep. Also, other interactions between two people can be heard...if you know what I mean. If I would have known sound would be an issue, I would have chosen a downstairs unit, and hopefully the sound wouldn't have traveled down. Others I have talked with also complained of day-to-day "noise" that comes through. I honestly don't think most apartments are like that! I do love the location, the peacefulness, the views, the ability to feel safe, the quality of the kitchen, the high ceilings, etc. I do agree that parking near the most occupied buildings is tough. But I didn't have that problem. In regards to the garages, I had chosen a wider one before moving in. However, another staff member promised that one to someone else. I had to take a more narrow one. They are DEFINITELY not wide enough to easily drive into and out of. I don't have a wide vehicle, so it shouldn't have been an issue. But it was. All garages should have been at least 1.5 wide. It was no fun barely moving in and out, always worried you'd hit the entrance and having to watch out for speeding by vehicles as I backed out. The staff was always friendly and I never had a maintenance issue (I shouldn't have since the apt. was brand new). If I were to ever move back, I'd need to think long and hard about it. Rated 4 out of 5?by I'm very happy I thought I would chime in to what the previous Reviews said. First off I live here, so I'm not sure why someone who doesn't live at Altis would have the time to write something about their visit. How can you rate maintenance, staff and amenities if you don't even live here? With regards to last review. I get it, you live in an apartment that shares walls with other apartments. I have lived in apartments for years and the noise is no different than any before. If you are that concerned you should be upset with your noisy neighbors...I moved in September and my experience has been very positive. I live in an upstairs apartment that has a beautiful view. I think the kitchen and bathroom are far superior to anything out there. The carpet as the previous person complained about is also much higher quality than the next community. It's a longer fiber so it's always plush, easy to clean. Amenity wise I go to the gym. It's quiet, clean and well equipped. The management team has been super accommodating. When I pick up my packages they ask me if there is anything I need, offer me an AC filter and I feel as if they have a genuine concern for my satisfaction. I mentioned a dripping faucet last time I went in and they were on it. In fact, when I was looking to move, the staff was a big reason I chose Altis. I think it's fair to state that some people should probably buy a home if they are that upset about noise. What do they expect the manager to do kick all their neighbors out? There is no pleasing some people. However I for one am completely satisfied and pleased with my decision. If you are looking for an apartment in North Tampa then it really can't be beat and trust me I have lived in a few. April 11, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5?by I am very disappointed with this apartment. The quality of construction is very poor. The walls look like carton; I can hear all of my neighbors are doing in the second level and beside my apartment (in the day and more in the night). Carpets are low profile, the worse quality of carpet. It is the same thing with the bathrooms, poor water pressure and poor quality on the equipments. In addition, the ?customer service? that we received from the director when we complained was nasty. I am very disappointed with this apartment. For the same rate that I pay here I can get an apartment at South Tampa, Harbour Island, or Channel Side. I will NOT recommend you to live here. I cannot wait to move out here, unfortunately I have to stay for ten months more because contract. April 6, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5?by Nice BUT I was visiting my friends and stayed there for few days and I must say apartments are really nice. The wood floors and granite counters- love it. I also was thinking about moving there but the walls are really THIN so you hear your neighbors. In the buildings where all the apartments are filled you WON'T HAVE PARKING. My friends have problem with that. There are garages and most people there use them for storage,so they park in front of other buildings taking up every spot and you won't have where to park in front your building. These units are not cheap. There is nothing they could do about thin walls but for parking they can do. At least 1 space per unit rule. March 5, 2013
