Rated 5 out of 5?by Husky88 Unmatched Accommodations, Tireless Staff, Pristine Locale Among Tolland County?s best-kept secrets, hidden in the hilly New England countryside, reminding one of the scenic imagery of Ralph Waldo Emerson?s poetic prose, sits Ivy Woods Apartments, where you are not merely a tenant, but a member of the Ivy Woods family. The picturesque forest background serves as a beautiful metaphor for the cohesive community, in which, as is best said by a traditional Akan proverb, ?The family is like the forest, if you are outside, it is dense. If you are inside you can see that each tree has its own position.? The Ivy Woods family bears a shocking similarity to the proverbial forest; upon entry, every resident is accepted as a vital member of an inclusive, expansive support network. Of course, what would a family be without its matriarch? This review would not be complete if I neglected to mention Linda, Ivy Wood?s tireless apartment manager. Last year, as an incoming graduate student at UConn, I found Ivy Wood?s location the perfect combination of serenity and convenience (minutes from UConn and I-84). Yet, I worried that Ivy Wood?s relative isolation would exacerbate any loneliness I might feel being away from home. However, upon my occupancy, Linda introduced me to the other residents, including other grad students and tenants from all walks of life. In a day, I found myself surrounded by a sea of friendly faces, leaving no opportunity for loneliness. Beyond helping to foster valuable relationships and acting as a surrogate mother during my residency at Ivy Woods, Linda (along with the entire staff) has done more to ensure my comfort than I could ever ask. The facilities and grounds are meticulously cared-for and staff hospitality is second to none. In short, Ivy Woods is not just an apartment complex; it is my home. I recommend Ivy Woods to everyone from UConn students to families to young professionals. I promise you, there is room in the Ivy Woods family for anyone. May 17, 2013

It's only two mins away from I-84 and about 20 mins away from UCONN. Office staff, especially Linda, is amazingly helpful and friendly. She is the best property manager I had ever work with. In my three years living in Ivy Woods, my experience with the community maintenance team is beyond satisfactory. I do love this place very much, it's very quiet then I can fully concentrate on my teaching preparation and research. It's a place we can definitely call it home!!! Love it, and will recommend it to everyone I know. May 16, 2013
