I found myself in an odd position of needing to rent an apartment after 20 yrs of home ownership. After relocating to Flagstaff, I looked into many apartment complexes. Many had the same type of amenities as Butterfield. Some were better located for me than this one.
I chose Butterfield because the office staff, which I wish I could mention their names, is the MOST professional that I have ever dealt with. Thanks to the management staff for the last year of total contentment and kudos TO THE STAFF AT BUTTERFIELD. I would recommend this place and even walk them in myself to meet this INCREDIBLE staff..

*location/neighborhood - great neighborhood. never any problems. But no businesses really in walking distance, although walmart and mall not too far--few miles. NAU about 5 miles away.
*maintenance/service-never a problem. anytime i called, they usually fixed that day. maintenance-guy was very efficient and knowledgeable.
*office staff-kathy, manager, was great! couldn't ask for a better apartment manager. she was always willing to help out and very pleasant and non-invasive. very cool/excellent manager. carol was also very nice and helpful, as was all the staff--always saying "hi" or "good morning" to you.
*noise-there was no noise. it was great.
*quality of amenities-had a nice outdoor pool in summertime/fall and exercise room. also a parking-lot basketball court with new nets. also pickup packages from mail at office or in lockers by mailboxes after hours.
*overall value - it may be a little more $ than some other places in town, but it was worth it.
