Yorktown is a historic community on the west bank of the York River, directly north of Newport News. Positioned right next door to Yorktown Naval Weapons Training and just up the road from a U.S. Coast Guard Training Center, Yorktown is a popular place for military personnel seeking off-base living arrangements. Families love the combination of affordable rental rates, low crime, and excellent public schools.
Yorktown Battlefield is the area’s biggest claim to fame, the historic site of Cornwallis’ surrender to George Washington at the end of the Revolutionary War; the site is also part of Virginia’s Historic Triangle, which also includes the nearby Jamestown and Williamsburg settlements. Horrible
This property is absolutely horrible. There is mold in the apartments. The property management company is unprofessional and tacky. The complex looks nothing like the pictures normally. Over priced. Horrible maintenance. Crime rate is high! You cannot let your kids play outdoors. Do not move here!
