Located at the tip of Lincoln Park and at the end of Lake Shore Drive, Edgewater developed during the late 1800s as a resort town for Chicago's prominent citizens. The gorgeous beaches that stretch along Lake Michigan in Edgewater still attract visitors, and its beautiful skyline of towering offices and apartment buildings house those who've discovered the endless charm of this historic neighborhoods.
Edgewater is about seven miles north of Downtown Chicago, stretched along the coast and offering gorgeous parks and hiking trails along the lake, in addition to the beaches. The neighborhood is home to the Bryn Mawr Historic District, fantastic restaurants, and a variety of locally-owned shops and businesses. Loyola University Chicago, considered one of the best universities in the world, borders Edgewater on the northeast corner. The Swedish American Museum, established in 1976, is one of the neighborhood's landmarks.

My time at The Wyndham Apartments has been pretty good so far. My biggest complaint is that the south stairwell almost always smells bad, and is very dirty when compared to the north stairwell. The south stairwell often smells like sewage, waste or other undesirable scents. Many of the residents leave trash in the hallway and stairwell, which is definitely not helping.

Great place to live! On-site management deals with any issues right away. The location cannot be beat. The bus stop is right outside and you can get to anywhere in the city easily. The noise level is really good and quiet which is exceptional given there's 220 units in this building. The maintenance team here and the head engineer of maintenance is phenomenal.

I have lived here just over 20 years and have been very satisfied with everything concerning the building and staff. The Edgewater area is an outstanding place to live with a supermarket right across the street and CTA bus and rail very near. If you're retired like I am this all makes for an easier life.
I have lived here at the Wyndham Apartments for 20 years and am completely satisfied with the building, management and staff and the surrounding neighborhood.
When moving to Wyndham Apartments, I made a upgrade. When a technical problem arises in the apartment over time, staff are quick to fix the problem. Staff listens to my concerns. No apartment complex is perfect but when you strive for perfection, that's what counts. That's my experience at Wyndham Apartments.
If you message them regarding a specific unit they will tell you it’s substantially more than what it says.
I've lived here almost 20 years and am greatly satisfied with all aspects of the Wyndham Apartments. The management and maintenance staffs are always helpful, friendly and professional. The neighborhood has most things you would need within walking distance along with Lincoln Park. All in all, a good place to live.
The leasing office and the staff are really friendly and they helped me with all my questions. It's an older apartment but the response to any maintenance request is quick.
Management is proactive and reacts quickly and positively to issues that arise.

DONT MOVE HERE management is terrible maintenance is mediocre at best and the place is not secure.

The location is superior. Supermarket, Lincoln Park, mass transit and a large variety of stores and services are within a short walk of the building. I have lived here over 19 years and all of the managers were readily available and hear any problems or concerns and resolve them. The building maintenance staff is outstanding and will make any repairs quickly. The fitness center is also excellant. All in all a great place to live.

The on-site building Management has attempted to do their best to resolve this issue. Additionally , the Immediate maintenance staff in-house can NOT fix this leak. What needs to be done is beyond their scope. It appears the Upper Maintenance company that sources larger projects need to find the necessary plumbers to handle this ongoing water leak creating continued damage to the space I lease.

Management is accessible and responsive and the location is perfect if you want to live in a walkable and transit-accessible neighborhood next to the lake. I also love my apartment's view and floor plan. It's a great place to live so long as you recognize that this is a big, old building with a lot of residents where things can break more frequently.

I have only lived here for one week so it is difficult to say but the staff is top notch and maintenance is very responsive and goes out of the way to improve /fix. All situations reported. I would recommend the Wyndham to my friends.
The location is good. Maintenance staff is excellence.
It's a nice place to live and convenient for Shopping, Transportation, Doctor Appointments and Church. And the building is well kept. The Management Office people are nice and courteous too. January will make 4 years that I've been here. I've met neighbors that's been here a lot longer.
For the first time in five years I can only say that the maintenance team is great, but the overall cleanliness of the building has gone downhill.

This is my favorite place I have ever lived. I love everyone who works here, how funny and kind they are, how quick things get fixed, and how knowledgeable everyone is. I love my apartment dearly and recommend The Wyndham to everyone who wants a fantastic apartment-living experience.

I have lived here for a while now. I really dont see anything else out there that gives me everything I have for the price. Doorman on weekends! (we love her). Buses and trains right outside my door. Marianos across the street and the beach is a five minute walk.

Good heat. Good utilities package. Clean, decently sized apartment. Affordable for a one bedroom and great location. Very convenient for grocery shopping and transportation. Otherwise, it was 2020-2021 so generally not a great year for most people.

The management and maintenance team are awesome!!! Very professional, excellent customer service and have always answered any questions I have. The community is beautiful (amazing lake and city views!) with gorgeous architecture. The location couldn't be better! Mariano's, the beach and park are across the street. Six different bus lines are steps from the front door, and the red line is two blocks around the corner. Tons of restaurants and shopping are very close by. I have lived here for over 17 years and absolutely love it!

The Wyndham Apartment Staff always prioritize the work order requests within reasonable timeline. The work is always done with excellence and replacements of quality products if needed. No complains, but thanks and appreciation.
