I feel safe in this apartment community and every maintenance request weve had since move in has been addressed. The move in experience was not very good, it seemed as though our apartment was forgotten about and hadnt had any cleaning or maintenance done before we moved in. We are looking forward to living here and are excited to continue meeting friendly neighbors and staff.
Woodview is the biggest hoax you will find when looking for apartments. When you visit they will claim to have the best amenities, but they actually have none. They closed the gym, dog park, and pool area in March of 2020 and decided to do maintenance on these amenities. When I asked if the pool would be done by June, they said yes and it was not. When I called again in June, they said the pool will be opened by August, so at least we would have a couple weeks at the end of summer to enjoy it. Once again, in August they still did not open the pool, so we went a whole summer without a pool that our lease promised. Woodview has also have never opened the fitness room since March as well. We are in December now, so the fitness room has been closed for over 10 months out of my year lease. I ended up paying for a gym membership because of this and I was denied when asking Woodview for a reimbursement of my gym membership due to theirs not being opened. I moved to Woodview because of the amenities that they claim to offer and for 10 months out of my year lease, they failed to provide any of these amenities. I had also asked for a rent discount because of the amenities that they failed to provide, and that was denied by Woodview saying the amenities are “extras” and not included in the lease, even though that is what they advertise when signing. They also claim to have a hot tub opened year round that I have never seen water in it for over a year. I was told at the end of July that they would have the hot tub filled by Fall and they lied to me on that as well as we are in December. Needless to say, if you’re looking for amenities, I wouldn’t recommend moving to Woodview to my worst enemy, as Management only cares about renovating rather than their own current residents. Do not move to Woodview for the amenities that they claim to have/will have because it is a lie and you will go through your whole entire lease without having any amenities as all of their current residents have done this past year with no discount for having no amenities.

Woodview is in an oasis of trees away from busy roads. Its perfect for pet lovers, and the delightful folks who manage our little community have even taken advantage of the shutdown to renovate and beautify our amenities.

I have lived here for a year and a half and have had nothing but a great experience so far! The staff has always been very friendly and courteous and good about any community announcements.
I have been a resident at Woodview Apartment Homes for six years. It is exceptionally beautiful here, and grounds maintenance is continually an outstanding feature. Not everyone gets to live in a hardwood forest. Here, you do!
Great place to live
As much as the staff is wonderful the apartments themselves are old and not in the best of shape. Since COVID all of the amenities have been closed down and yet we are still paying for all these amenities for all these months.
I have been a resident for six years. I love the grounds (well kept) and living in a hardwood forest. Being here is special, every day, and has enriched my life.
I've lived here for a month and the experience has been great! The apartment was so clean and ready when I moved in. The people that live here are friendly and the staff has been awesome. Maintenance answers requests so quickly, whether it is an emergency request or not. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. It's also a perfect location with Mission so close and Downtown KC close as well! I would recommend Woodview to anyone.

I had just moved in when I had a water leak emergency. Maintenance arrived within 20 minutes and fixed everything right up! The staff of Woodview has been so helpful and friendly!

Woodview is amazing in every way. From start to finish everything was perfect! There is a great sense of community & unity here even throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The leasing staff emailed us with options to make sure we were all able to afford rent and let us know that they were here for us. They genuinely care for their residents and it shows. I love this place!
I currently live here and as all of the other comments are saying, the management is incompetent. Even the manager fails to pick up her phone or email you back when you have questions about extra charges. When we first moved in, there were tons of issues with the apartment (ceiling fan falling out of ceiling and having by a wire, broken doors, centipedes, etc). Also, they claim to have multiple police officers that live in the community yet the crime rate is high and management does not inform the residents of any crime going on in the complex. Multiple cars and motorcycles have been stolen yet they never told us residents. It's not in a bad part of town but it is covered by a wooded area so it's more secluded. I am happy when I am not having to work with management, but if something breaks and we need maintenance, it's not a good experience.

Thank you for the feedback and will work on making necessary changes. We strive to keep the residents informed of security concerns as we become aware of them, but we are not always advised by residents or police. Should we learn of something that becomes a trend or possess a danger to our residents we send email notices. We suggest to residents who would like to be notified of all crime big or small to sign up for one of the various free website that provide push notifications on crime alerts based on zip code. We do have 2 KCPD officers that live onsite that do courtesy patrols on the community, however nothing can guarantee 100% security. Please keep in mind that crime can happen anywhere even in the best neighborhood. Should you have any additional suggestions we would be happy to set time to discuss.
Lived there for two years. Biggest problem I had was with the actual quality of the apartment for what you pay. I constantly dealt with bugs and crawlers coming through the cracks in the apartment floor and wall. My bugtrap caught a snake. (I'm not kidding and have pictures). My apartment was infested with centipedes, and I would see 10 plus a day. I had two doors fall off the hinges, since they had cheap hardware that would eventually unscrew itself. If you have any asthma or allergy triggers, the mold that was growing on the vents will cause you to feel symptoms. As soon as I moved out, my breathing got better almost instantly. The neighbors kept large amounts of trash that would blow onto my "side", and 2 attempts to contact the property fell on deaf ears. Do you know why? Because good luck getting a hold of the front office. The number provided most places will kick you to a call-center somewhere else, who will relay your message, and there's a 20% chance you'll get a call back. One thing I will compliment is the maintenence-man/woman. When something did go wrong, he/she was there same day 90% of the time. Thank you for that. Regarding the front-office, I didn't really have any issues with them. They were friendly, just busy. The location was decent. Quick ubers to fun areas. However, the general "niceness" of the apartment did not make up for any amenities. If you're going to spend the money, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

Horrible management and the apartments are poorly maintained on the inside. My apartment had tiles falling off the shower wall the 2 month I was there. The apartment smelled like sewer randomly when I'd get home from work. My water had what appeared to be sand in it the whole time I lived there. I replaced the shower heads because they were getting stopped up from the sandy substance in the water. There is mold in these apartments as well. It will blacken your shower if you don't keep it clean. I ended my lease after being there 8 months. When I left I paid Woodview 3 times with separate checks to make sure everything was paid up! When I got my deposit back it was a whopping $26.35. They had taken money out of my deposit to pay more utilities after repeatedly paying to make sure that was caught up. They also took $100.00 to clean the carpets which looked new when I left. Do not move into these apartments. The management and conditions of it inside of the apartment are bad. I know it's in a great location close with Plaza and Westport but you'd be better served living in a decent place.

Application fees are non-refundable regardless of outcome to pay for background checks. Reservations fee are refundable on denied application or if canceled within the 72 hours that it takes to approve the application. If an apartment reservation is canceled after that time up to the day of move in, the reservation fee is nonrefundable because the apartment was taken off market and not able to be leased to anyone else. The application and reservation fees are advertised on all of our marketing material, website and application. My roommate and I had very high hopes about this apartment complex because of the great location, the great amenities, and the personable staff, but we have had nothing but problems since we moved here. The staff has been unhelpful since we signed the lease except for the maintenance staff, which we have had to call at least 2 or 3 times each month that we have lived here. When we first moved in, the apartment was not even ready for another week because the staff was so unprepared. The door could not even lock when we were told that the apartment was "tenant ready." We are currently looking at other apartments because it has been a nightmare to live here. The property management here is completely unprofessional and incompetent. We tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and hope that our problems were just a bit of bad luck at the beginning, but the problems have not stopped since we moved in months ago. My advice is to stay away from here.
I have been living in the Woodview Apartment complex for over a year and am completely unsatisfied with the lack of basic upkeep on many of the "amenities" the complex provides. The AC in the unit will run but will not produce any air conditioning which I was told had been resolved before, the dog park has poor upkeep, and the walking path has extremely dangerous walking conditions while also having downed trees on the path for months at a time. The office very consistently goes to voicemail on the first try when trying to call in to speak with a member of the leasing team. Lastly, please be wary of any communication you have with the team and request to have anything you have concerns about put into writing. No verbal conversation will hold up from what you are legally bound to from what you signed on the Leasing Agreement.
Woodview is in a gorgeous wooded area with great looking apartment. Yes, the kitchen is cramped, but the amount of room throughout the one bedroom apartment absolutely makes up for it. I moved here because of the price for the space as well as the fact that there is a dog park right across the parking lot form us in the complex. The biggest problem I have had is with the management. Our apartment manager is incredibly unresponsive and unhelpful. She tends to come off as if you are bothering her when you have a question or need her assistance. There is only one employee in the office that I know I can trust and will actually get things done. I have had to dispute my rent every single month because of extra charges that keep being added to my bill. I am frustrated with the management here, but the facilities are beautiful and very worth the rent, as long as you keep an eye on the charges!
