Woodvale Apartments

5/25,moving from a different state, so I was unable to look at the property. took the word of the leasing manager that the place was in decent shape/clean. foul odor and falling apart. claimed it was just cleaned. garbage overflowing in the trash bins. minimum maintenance.

So I have been here over a year now. For the first several months there were no noise complaint. Now for the past 4 months, I have been having sleepless night along side with my neighbors. The shopping center across the street keeps making noise in the wee hours nearly everyday. Its keeping us awake. The front office said they can't do anything about it which is very unfortunate. I have resulted to researching the companies contact info that have trash getting pick up between 2am to 5am, with no regards to people who live there. The fact that residence have to contact them and not the front office is the disappointing part. Hopefully the front office see this message and actually do something and report what they did so we residents can see it and know that they are actually working for the residents.

The new property manager, young and ambitious but lacking in people skills, can be quite irritating as he strives to impress his bosses. Fortunately, the rest of the team, especially the maintenance crew, is friendly. However, the constant eagerness to extract money from residents is evident. Installing a designated electric charging station $$$, in already crowded parking lot, when none of the residents own electric cars, is just plain comical.

Don’t spend your money!!! For an entire year, there were rodents, bats, and roaches. This place is a money maker and you will be the only one loosing out.

The crime rate is very high in this area, unbeknownst to me before moving, there had been some muggings and vandalism in this area. Parking - Very predatory.. you are required to register your guests vehicle ONLINE and had them a physical pass to display on the vehicle. if you miss one of these steps, your vehicle will be towed and its $150 to recover, bear in mind the company that handles the online portal cannot be reached after 5pm so you're out of luck if the system has a glitch(this happens). GOOD LUCK finding street parking outside the community, it stays packed and the chances of your car getting broken into are high. Noise - The teenagers constantly stay in the hallways and WILL NOT give way even when they see you coming with groceries. Creaking Floors - I'm not sure how old these apartments are but i have been here for a few months and i regret moving here, it's the biggest loss i have taken this year: i hear every step the neighbor takes above me and it is LOUD! every step; i never had sleep issues but now i have to take Melatonin and Nyquil sometimes just to SLEEP. Pests - I keep the apartment in pristine shape but i have had issues with mice running in the living room when i had a guest over; that's when i found out i had mice, super embarrassing, AND YOU CAN HEAR THE MICE IN THE WALLS ALSO. Add roaches to the mix and it's an animal kingdom. Upkeep - it's been one issue after the other but they do show up on time; the washer dumped a load of water on the floor twice, the washer is literally being held together with wires as we speak, it’s laughable. Overall: I spend less time in my apartment because i hate it so much, i am waiting for the lease to be over so i can disappear far away from this mess. Choose Wisely

This rental complex is infested with a lot of pests .. Cockroaches roam your apartment in broad daylight! I reported this to the leasing office they came to patch a whole where they was coming from and drop off the monitor which they later picked up & promised the exterminator would be in soon but it’s months later and I’m still waiting for the exterminator. It’s ridiculous. For the price that we pay I should not be seeing any roaches. It’s like we are roommates that share the rent in here. So it is definitely OVERPRICED! Not to mention the stealing of your packages. There are cameras set up outside my building and people still steal your package when they come sometimes within seconds. The community is definitely not friendly & as safe as it should be. BUT IF I WAS YOU I’D LOOK ELSEWHERE!

So I don’t have many problems with the apartment complex. Apartment is a great size and parking is okay here. My mean concern is the mice and rats! They are everywhere and living on the bottom floor does not help. At night you can see the mice and the rats in the parking lot just running around freely. It was so bad I waited in my car for at least 10 minutes. I’ve had multiple mice issues in my apartment as well! I keep a very clean house however that did not help. I had to get my own personal mice traps and repellent to hopefully keep them away.

I’m a resident at Woodvale apartment and I can’t wait for my lease to be over. The Apartment manager is rude, she don’t know how to respond or answer questions. The rats ?? here will drive you away except you like to share an apartment with rats ??.. I advice don’t move in!!

Worst apartment complex in Silver Spring. Don’t believe the fake 5 star reviews on here. The management company is horrible! The staff at the leasing office are even worse. I have been living here for 3 years and it has been going downhill rent some. The visitor parking is the worst, you have to pay for this yearly pass wish they’ve never gave me. I’ve been contacting them for the past 2 months to receive it. I’ve also entered complaints about the neighbors making a ton of noise through out the night and their security staff does nothing to fix it. I’ve had roaches in my home when i Always keep it spot clean and I’m pretty sure there coming from either my neighbors home or the filthy trash can that they never manage. You try to get maintenance to come in but they only come when they feel like it. The neighborhood has gotten terrible. A lot of arguing, loud car noise that stays on throughout the night, doors purposely slamming hard for no reason, poop sheets on the ground and always feeling like I need to watch my back. DO NOT EVER RENT FROM HERE!! BELIEVE ME YOU WILL BE EATING YOUR MONEY. LOOK ELSEWHERE!

I haven't even moved in yet, and I already feel this maybe just a one year lease. The management and leasing staff needs to make sure that they are both on the same accord about policies regarding the building, fees, pricing and services. I am strongly concerned regarding management. She needs a training course on sensitivity as well as customer service. The leasing team needs to get a little more better with communication regarding her prospects/ residents. I would recommend any information that the staff provides you please have it documented/ paper trail. ( Emailing would be very sufficient when it comes to this staff. ) The rate that I'm currently given is just based on the experience prior to moving in. Hopefully things will get better once I have moved in. Fingers crossed.

I’ve lived here since January 2019. The only thing that I like is the largeness of the apartment. My biggest problem are the roaches! I’m not used to living with roaches!!! No matter how much they exterminate, the roaches never go away. I can’t wait until my lease is up.

Very poor follow-up to calls, no email response. The workers in the office don't respond to any maintenance issues or problems, they are not proficient in customer service skills. They show you model apartment before moving in but when you moved, completely different quality annoying squeaky floors throughout the apartment and almost nothing works properly. When you request maintenance, they send non professional who doesn't know how to fix anything so you have to keep contacting the office for the same problems. I am here 4 months and feels like forever, i am waiting to finish my lease and move out.

They have the worse maintenance service You have to call many times and get no one to fix stuff, you can hear everything from wall to wall and steps as well, and they have the worse costumer service.

Im a current resident here and I can’t wait for my lease to be up. The roach infestation here is awful. Maintenance doesn’t do well with controlling it. My apartment stays neat, but my bathroom is always crawling with them. Kitchen is ruled by them and nothing gets done. Nobody should live in these conditions.

The property that I moved in last week at Woodvale was nasty and dirty. Staff is unprofessional and lacks attention to detail. I moved in and found dirty cabnets and drawers. The floor had not been mopped or swept. My vertical blinds are old and dirty. My front door is not flush with the frame so my apt is always cold. That effects my gas bill. My walls were marked up so there was no new coat of paint. I was quoted something that was 700.00 short of what was required to move in. (Attention to detail). Unfortunately I had no choice but to move in under these conditions as I relocated from another state and had put my trust in the wrong property. I will be following up with Montgomery County as I am sure there are several things wrong with this property that may be against code. I have a continuous leak from the apartment that is above me in my bathroom right by the door. I would not refer anyone to this property. Over priced for what you get.

I have been a resident for years and I have no plans move: until I move into my own home. Until then, I have decided this is the place for me. I have a dog and we both grew up on this property pretty much. My apartment is spacious and I have a nice view on the 4th floor facing the woods. It's very quite and serene once I come inside. There are a lot of kids on the property and they are pretty much contained on the hardtop that is designed for them to play on. The management is awesome and very professional. The rent while high - is comparable to other apartments in the area....Monrgomery County pricing ????. But it certainly is value added. I have a washer and dryer in my unit - the air conditioning was cranking during this heat wave. I have a dishwasher and a huge eat in kitchen. I have a large table in the kitchen ???? and I still have room to move around. Just recently - the property manager Wendy arranged to have my room painted and some work done in the bathroom. While there - the bldg engineer also saw other things to be repaired and took the initiative to do it himself. I did have a problem with a few roaches and called Milton (manager) and he had the exterminators in the next day and I have never seen those buggers again. Milton has been superb anytime I have had to call the rental office. I do plan on re-newing my lease as its that time of the year ?? The only plan for a move...is into my permanent town home not too far from where I am now. Wish me and Yaya (???? my Yorkie) luck!!

Apartment is spacious & sound. Has a separate dining room & eat-in kitchen. You cannot hear the neighbors. Having a washer & dryer in house is a great amenity.

This is an average apartment complex, that is close to a Safeway grocery store. It's not far from downtown Silver Spring, that has a lot of stores for shopping, restaurants and entertainment. This space in the apartment is good, along with a pool and small training room. Easy access to 95, 29 and 200.

woodvale is a very convenient place to live everything is close by from the buses to the shopping centers to the day car to even the car dealerships I love it there I haven't seen any rats or roaches. the staff and the manager are so understanding. I love how you can pay your rent online. the apartment itself is very spacious and comfortable. I got the feeling of home the first I walked in. I love it here I hope am able to stay there long. thank you.

I have lived hear for five years I really like it, I think it is A five star apartment it is A perfect place to live the stores are right across the street the metro bus is right at the door. it is truly A great place to live.

I love this apartment, I have a lot of room it's quite, love the parking. The rental office employees make you feel like you are home and a part of the family. I love everything about my apartment, my daughter loves the space in her room.

I have Been living at the Windsor Court Apartment for almost five years and I have never been rob or heard that someone has been rope. I have refer and recommended more than ten people and all of them love it not just because of the security and police station close very closed to the apartment but also because of Windsor Court Apartment have the biggest size bedroom, kitchen and living room of all the complex around here and of all complex we have been in. In addition they have a team of expert who are very effective and efficient in it comes of solving a problem related to your apartment. Finally the is a shopping center just one block away with the grocery store and others. In addition there is a Kinder garden school two minutes with foot from the complex, a middle school just around the corner as well as two different high school I hope this was helpful!!

Love my apt at woodvale apts. Nice and open friendly staff.washer and dryer in unit pool and workout room. This is my second time living on this property and I love love love it!!!!

Hi!! I would like to tell y'all that I live in Windsor Court Towers the apartment home have very big bedrooms and nice size bathrooms, and kitchen and livingroom, the grocery store and others stores are just around the corner, very nice Schools to!! I hope this was helpful!!

I've lived at both Windsor and Ashford... and Woodvale has to have been the best experience I've had at any rental property by far!

Office staff were great as I enter the rental office. The tour was out of this world as stated in the Apartment guide. Apartments are spacious and great as stated in the apartment guide. I would recommend this place to any family or persons who want to invest until our can own a house, one thing I miss my fios not being there. Area is safe at night if you working late.

It what the review picture and People have said a great place to live. The swimming pool and exercise room and playground is a place of the art.
