Property Ratings at Woodsview Apartments
Property managers very professional. Excellent communication. Maintenance trouble calls are dealt with promptly and thoroughly. Property well-maintained.
The property is well cared for and the management team is the best and most responsive. Every time I needed them they were prompt and professional. I’ve lived here over 3 years now. Great place!!!
Front desk ladies are so unprofessional seems like they have no degree . Very rude and unethical behavior. Never respect if a woman calls.
If you value effective management and communication skills, DO NOT live here. The Leasing Specialist (Leslie) and the Property Manager (Kris) are the worst communicators I have ever had to deal with. Long story short, it took them 6 MONTHS after I moved out to refund me labor charges that they incorrectly put on my account. I had to e-mail, call, leave messages for 6 MONTHS to finally be acknowledged and for them to finally take care of the issue (they kept ignoring me and brushing it off). When they did finally send me a refund check, they spelled my name wrong (I lived there for a year, I signed their lease, get my name right). If you choose to live here, and if you ever have a problem or even a simple question, be prepared to take off work to see them in person in the office, because they will not e-mail or call you back (unless you berate them for 6 months). I don't think this review expresses how frustrating this 6 month fiasco was and how unprofessional Leslie and Kris were. I have never left an online review before, but these two ladies were so awful to deal with that I caved and wrote one.
We've just signed on for another year. The staff is very friendly and responsive and tries to make this complex into a community. The amenities (pool, workout room, underground parking, close to park, walking trails, and golf course) are unique to Janesville and make this the place for us.
Great apartment complex. Lived here for two years and was very happy with the apartment and the staff. All problems or concerns were handled quickly and professionally. Apartments are located in a beautiful location, We loved to go on walks to the park and the golf course and the bike and walking trails are fantastic! I would highly recommend this apartment.
I moved out last year with a perfectly clean apartment with no damage. I later got a bill for “repainting the apartment” which also of course denied my security deposit money. They screwed me over because they knew I was moving across the state. In order to take the matter to court I would’ve had to return to rock county for the proceedings likely twice. I never paid the bill and was later sent to a collection agency for about 400$. This apartment company is the scum of the earth and will be very nice to you while you live there and then screw you over for money when you move. I highly recommend not living in any Hovde Property rental!!
Hands down the best place to rent in Janesville. I lived there for two years. Initially on my own, and then my girlfriend moved in with me for the second year. They helped me upgrade from a one bedroom apartment to a two bedroom apartment quite seamlessly. If it wasn't for us needing more space for ourselves, we would no doubt still be living there.
Don't be fooled by older reviews with 4 or 5 stars. The moment new management took over in 2016, residents began to suffer. Higher prices, higher and arbitrary maintenance fees, poorly maintained public amenities and public apt spaces (filthy stairwells, broken bulbs, dingy walls). Management is poorly responsive and difficult to communicate with. In short, do not support this slum.
Worst management ever. Lack of transparency, extra fees, baffling rent agreements and charges. Goal is to squeeze money out of you without putting it back into renovating properties. Please enjoy the frequently broken down equipment in the gym (that won't be fixed for two months), the leaky underground parking garage that floods in rainstorms, and the common stairwells coated in spiderwebs and dirt. Perhaps once a desirable property, now becoming disgusting.
After living in a house for about 30 years I was really afraid I would hate living here but Woodsview has made a very nice home away from home. The complex does not have a large complex atmosphere at all. Four large buildings, one parking garage parking space per apartment, lots of additional parking in the lot for tenants and guests, and an in-ground pool. There is a community room available to rent for a nominal fee as well as an exercise room which includes treadmills, bikes, and a few other pieces of equipment. The apartments vary from 1 - 3 bedrooms, some with fireplaces, some with lofts. The units are very clean and well maintained, inside and out. If something needs repair, one call or on-line maintenance request is all it takes to have someone investigate and resolve. No frustrations! Each unit has it's own washer/dryer unit, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and stove. Soft water is a plus! Spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and plenty of storage inside the apartment as well as additional storage available. One building has a dedicated storage room for each apartment. Smoking is being phased out at Woodsview. Smoking is allowed only on the private balcony of each unit, although the balcony may be very close to others. i really see smoking on the grounds being completely eliminated at some point in the future...but I could be wrong. I would recommend Woodsview Apartments to anyone looking for an apartment in the Janesville area!
