Property Ratings at Woodland Villa Apartments
I was in a bit of a time crunch. I needed to find a nice apartment for me and my 5 year old twins as soon as possible. I applied for this apartment and I didn’t hear back for almost a week until I called the office several times. I was told that I was approved at that given time. A few days later I called back because my move in date changed online. The apartment that I was approved for was still be occupied and the tenant was being evicted. They wouldn’t turn in the keys. I was told it’ll be another week. Two days before my new move in date...they changed my move in date again. At this point I was really disappointed because I really wanted to stay at this apartment. There was no other apartments offered to me and they don’t communication well. I called the next day and told them I was no longer interested. Here I am with 4 days left to find a apartment and hope to move in by March 1st.

At first this place didn't seem bad, but I quickly needed to call maintenance to fix a few things. The most pressing was an after-hours call about leaking water that didn't lead to it getting fixed until I contacted the leasing office weeks later. It had happened again and I hadn't heard back about it getting fixed after I reported it initially. The leasing office rarely responds to the first email. Worst of all is the construction, and in particular the ceiling/floor above me. I'm on the first floor and I can constantly hear nearly every move the upstairs neighbors make. Every step across the floor, conversations, closing cabinet doors, high-energy dog, and even them shifting on the couch or in bed. Some noise is to be expected with upstairs neighbors, but not this loud and not everything they do. It wakes me up at night and is unacceptable. I sent three emails to the leasing office before I got a response to my most recent complaint about this. I was told that at the end of my lease they could transfer me to a third floor unit. It took more than two weeks for them to come back and tell me they wouldn't cover the cost of movers. If I'm to pack up and move my stuff because of the awful quality of the residence, there's no way I'm staying at this property.

your rent will keep going up large amounts. the apartment is OK but it seems they like turn over because they keep upping the rent for long term residence. when you residence come in paying more than $100 less than you something's wrong!
1st I'd like to compliment the staff. Always professional, nice, and informative. The maintenance crew is the absolute best when you call they'll do there best to fix whatever within a reasonable time. The building and laundry area stay clean. Never here too much noise, our community is well kept for pets being allowed. The apartments are cozy just wish to have updated cabinetry. And I wish we had a clubhouse that'll be and upgrade. For my first apartment I'm very satisfied with my choice of living here. Keep up the good work Woodland Villa.
Praise the management and maintenance always professional,nice, and informative. For our first apartment "myself,husband and son" it's a great start rent isn't bad, closet is big enough for both of our things, plenty of kitchen cabinet space just wish the cabinetry was updated. The bathroom is nice and cute. Like the patio but plenty of spider invaders. Living/dining area is a decent size. They also have washer/dyer hookups with a charge of $30 monthly. Or better use the laundry facility for only $ 1.25 cant beat that. Minutes away from Canton and Livonia if you like to shop nice and cozy for a small family and or roommates. Wish we had a clubhouse/gym other than that I love my apartment community.
I like this area, meijer is down the street and there are a lot of things close by, but these apartments suck. They charge by floor, it cost extra for washer/dryer hook ups, but they do not tell you it's an extra $30 to rent washer and dryers. That's a separate bill. Nothing is included! Our rent is $855, we're paying extra for the hook ups but we don't have the washer/dryer. So paying that extra for nothing. Then we were put into a no pet building, but every other building you could have them. It's just a trick all around and I do not like living here, all this extra rent for no reason. We pay almost $1,000 might as well get a condo.
