Huntington Beach stretches along 9.5 miles of Southern California coastline, earning its official "Surf City USA" trademark with consistently excellent waves and pristine beaches. The downtown area centers around the historic pier, where Pacific City shopping center and the International Surfing Museum draw both residents and beach enthusiasts. The rental market reflects the area's desirability, with one-bedroom apartments averaging $2,451 and two-bedroom units at $2,893.
The city offers abundant outdoor spaces, including the 350-acre Huntington Central Park with its network of trails, equestrian center, and Shipley Nature Center. Nature enthusiasts frequent the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve, a 1,200-acre wetland preserve known for its diverse wildlife and walking paths. Neighborhoods like Seacliff, Downtown, and Huntington Harbour each offer distinct rental opportunities, from oceanfront apartments to residential complexes.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Woodlake
I lived here for three years and the bug issue was atrocious. Termites swarm twice a year leaving droppings and wings all over the place. They apparently dont have someone who knows with they're doing with plumbing because our dish washer was leaking without our knowledge and made a hole in the ceiling of our downstairs neighbors, the toilet ran constantly and started leaking after they "fixed" it, they will randomly cut the water and inform you the day of or the day before at LEAST once a month, AND the shower will randomly not have hot water. I thought the landlord special was a joke until I moved here. The part that really upsets me. After living here because it was all I could afford, they had the nerve to send me less than 30% of my deposit because the company they "required" us to hire to clean the carpets left the indents from the couch in the carpet. Please save your sanity and go for something slightly more expensive. You don't deserve to be treated how we were.
My family and I lived here since I started elementary school all the way until I started my second year of college and let me just say the new management sucks, BIG time. The old manager was a wonderful lady who was extremely fair and rarely raised the rent through the years we were there, even when she did it was a reasonable amount. However after the next managers (I believe her kids?) took over, the rent was raised by a ridiculous amount. My father then began having health complications and we were required to get medical equipment and supplies delivered to our home. We had provided evidence and proof of these needs to the manager's office which was moved to building that's 20-30min drive away due to it being in a heavily busy area instead of at the apartment themselves. The manager then was super nosy about my dad's medical treatment and needs during one of our routine deliveries. The drivers of these trucks were insured, experienced, and very professional, but this manager was a total pain. Questioning the supplies, authenticity, etc claiming that it was "within his right" to ask what was going on. No offense buddy, but it's not within your rights to question someone's medical history without being a doctor or having something to really require you to ask other than your dogshit suspicions. When we left these managers then sent a LIST of things that were required of us prior to moving. I understand that it's the tenant's responsibility to use the apartment and keep it in the same or close to condition that it was received in. However, is it really MY responsibility to get the apartment "professionally cleaned"? Our apartment wasn't dirty, or messed up, or anything, but this manager DEMANDED we get it cleaned by professionals? The carpet had no stains, tears, etc. Walls were the same nice white color as my father and mother were cleaning frenzied. Ridiculous. SO glad we moved out, people who live there deserve better management then that.
The place is a joke. Their is NO on site personal, except the incompeten matinence. When you call 714-965-6010 they won't answer.
WoodLake apartments is a moderately sized two level apartment complex with very competitive rate at an excellent location. The complex is within a 5 minute drive to the 405 and is extremely close to any retailer you could need. The units are decently sized and are clean. They come with gas stoves, stainless steel sinks and a dishwasher. HOWEVER, they do not provide a refrigerator. Additionally, the general community seems to be lower middle class families who at time can be a little loud (think the incessant sounds of small children) but its nothing unmanageable. All in all, for how cheap this place is and its proximity to all of the wonderful things Huntington Beach has to offer I think its worth just a hair under 4 stars.
