I have lived at woodcrest apartments for two months. Everything was okay, decent apartment, no smell, and good amenities. But due to gross negligence on woodcrest part my downstairs neighbors and I almost had a lot of money worth of items destroyed. When it started raining hard, water pouring through the window and ceiling fixture. The roof needed patched and the window wasn’t sealed. And the entire reason this happened was because the gutters didn’t get cleaned out. If I wasn’t home or didn’t notice the tsunami of water flooding in my apartment, my downstairs neighbors and I would have lost a lot of electronics. Woodcrest needs to take better care of their gutters and carry out proper maintenance on their roof and windows.

My apartment looked nothing like the pictures they are run down and ceiling had a leak and would have a solid stream of water running down the wall and they didn’t do anything about it our washer broke countless times the floor felt like it was going to collapse in some spots especially right out of the kitchen don’t move here I’m glad I got out!

Finding a reasonably priced and nice apartment in the Decatur area can feel like a chore, so I was pretty excited when I found this unit. The price was incredible for a 2 bed / 1 bath and the unit was clean and freshly painted when I moved in. Maintenance just came in a few weeks ago and upgraded the thermostat and put in water saving faucets which is a nice touch. Office staff and maintenance have all been super quick to respond and all super friendly. There were some issues last fall with the communal dryers going out, but everything has since been sorted. High turnover rate for neighbors, but everyone has been super friendly/quiet. Not the fanciest apartments, but you really can't beat the price.

They do not care about your safety. I was refused the breakage of my lease which was requested due to harassment by another tenant. Do NOT move here. The property owner is ignorant and hung the phone up on me and my sister (I’m 20 years old, so I wanted her help speaking to this man) when we were trying to express how we are concerned for mine and my family’s safety.

Woodcrest has everything you need from a pool, gym, great friendly staff and amazing service. I’ve lived here for 4+ years and never had any complaints. It is well taken care of and is affordable too!

Before moving here I reviewed the reviews on several sites. I saw that there were some bad reviews, but saw far more good than bad. Because of the good reviews, I decided to take a leap and boy am I glad that I did! I have never had a better experience with apartments. There is always room for improvement and therefore can't say I couldn't find anything negative to say but the management and office staff have been so genuinely friendly and welcoming since day one. The maintenance fixed the few issues I have had that very same day and have been nothing but nice. Though I have only met a couple of neighbors, they even seem friendly and I feel completely safe here. One of the things that interested me the most about this place is that they are pet friendly, well that is an understatement. They try to include us pet owners all the time and that means a lot to me for sure! Don't take the negative comments to heart, this place is the best in my book and don't plan to go anywhere anytime soon!

Management is rude. They screw you over and lie. Place is falling apart. Only one star because atleast they are cool about pets...

The apartments are old and not updated, there are spots you worry about falling threw the floor. The window and sliding glass door allow cold air flow freely into the apartment. There are so many nail pops on the balcony it’s not even present to walk out on. Not to mention the fear of it collapsing because it so rickety. The 2nd star is because the maintenance is quick to respond. The manager... trying to talk to her requires having to stop talking constantly because she rudely over talks you with a condescending tone to what she is saying. How can you be condescending when you don’t let someone finish talking? I don’t know but she has mastered it. There is dog poop everywhere I understand it is not the direct responsibility of the apartments to pick it up but even a little monitoring of people letting the dogs poops just anywhere and not picking it up would go a long way. Other reviews have mentioned unsavory people and drugs shady people all over. I have seen none of that. I have never feared for my safety here. They do things like resurfacing the parking lot and having pest control companies come out with less than 48 hours of notice not allowing for proper time to make arrangements if you have pets and don’t want chemicals sprayed all over with them in the apartment. You pay extra for “corporate” apartments which are fully furnished “with everything you need” they say. Maybe if you order take out constantly and don’t cook more than Mac and cheese. You also think upgrades apartment not delaminating countertops and dining room chairs chewed up by someone else’s dog. The appliances are old than me and the ones that aren’t are barebone basic barely operating properly. All and all it’s nice they don’t restrict full size dogs and the maintenance is prompt. The office staff over sells the property and the manager is rude. I would never recommend anyone renting here.

We have animals so finding a place was difficult. But woodcrest accepts pets and the ladies in the office are the best. They know us by name and its great! The doggie park is awesome to have and we love to hit the pool during the summer! I also go walking and running in our neighborhood and dont feel scared going out when its getting dark outside. So thats a plus!
