Affectionately referred to as the “Carpet Capital of the World,” Dalton contains many of the nation’s floor-covering manufacturers and played a significant role in the establishment of the tufted carpet industry. Dalton celebrates its heritage with a number of historical sites and landmarks in addition to a charming downtown area, which is teeming with unique shops and eateries in well-preserved buildings.
