Property Ratings at Winfield Station
I absolutely love everything about this complex. The staff is so friendly and very helpful. The building is SO clean and well maintained. The pool, fitness center and clubhouse entertainment area is perfect. Easy access to the train and hospital. And the apartments have everything. For one they are pretty new, Washer dryer, balconies, central air conditioning. You got it all. And if you love dogs, this is the place! So many friendly animals!!
Great experience working with the professional team in the leasing office! Amalia was so great and you could tell she cared about finding us the perfect home. The building is everything we were looking for in regards to amenities and location. Also, being right next to the train station with easy access to downtown Chicago is a plus. We thought the train noise would be hard to live with, but we are glad we took the chance because it's not as bad as I was expecting it to be. We highly recommend this place and are looking forward to living in this great building and community!

It's a mixed bag. The location is really strange, it seems as if they dropped a beautiful apartment complex right in the middle of a very quiet and boring downtown area of Winfield. If you're a commuter, it's pretty spectacular since the train station is steps away. However, if not a commuter, hearing the train daily would get quite old. The pricing on the apartments is lower than most in the area but what they don't tell you, is the (heated) garage is $200 extra per month! That is a dealbreaker, as I currently don't pay extra for a garage and if I did, I wouldn't pay that much. They do have outdoor parking as well, but in Chicago winters? No thanks. I politely declined to pursue renting an apartment here to their leasing agent, only to receive another message from someone else, asking when I want to come in for a tour. I thought ok, maybe she didn't know I just told someone else I wasn't interested... so I sent a copy of that decline email to her. Minutes later, the response was "let me know when you'd like a tour of our community!" What? Am I talking to a robot? I think there's pros and cons to this place, but their leasing agents are not one of the pros. Also, if you don't like or own dogs, the pet policy is too loose for an apartment of this size and location. 100 lb. weight limit, 2 pets per apartment is just too much for me. I work remote, so thinking about barking dogs and trains all day is not a good fit for me. It's a shame, because the apartments are really top notch and the community looked to be pretty nice.
