Property Ratings at Wind Crest Apartments
My husband and I love our apartment. We are in a 3 br townhome and have no problems with our neighbors. they have a dog and almost 2 yr old like we do and no noise problems. I noticed a complaint about it being hotter upstairs and sometimes it is but ive never been in a two story anything that wasn't just a little warmer beings how heat rises.lol we have vents, new light and sink fixtures in all of our bathrooms, new carpet, and recently a new stove. maintenance always comes as soon as possible even after business hours since at least one is usually living on grounds. most places just felt like somewhere to sleep but the atmosphere here immediately made me feel like I was home.
we started living here last winter and since then the young kids living below us are listening to loud music shaking our walls and floor making it impossible to study or sleep. We have told them personally 5-6 times, we have called the police and we have informed the manager about this but still no luck. After, about 6 months we still don`t have peace with them partying and noises are driving us crazy. No one cares about this issue and we do not know what to do.
The walls are paper thin, you can hear every noise coming from all the buildings around you. There is dog waste everywhere and the staff makes no effort at all to clean it up. As well as not cleaning up, the maintenance staff is also very grumpy any time you call them with a problem and it seems there is a hierarchy of people they like and people they don't. This place claims to be student friendly but my downstairs neighbor slams her door over and over whenever she feels like I'm walking around too much for her comfort. I wish I could go back and choose another apartment, but alas, I'll have to wait until the end of my lease. And it says "smoke free" but the landlord smokes in all the apartments when she works on them. By "works on them" I mean paints over everything to add to the half inch thick paint that's already there.
These places are old, no updating has been done. The one unit I was in the kitchen cabinets were painted over a million times. The appliances were almond color, and old. Almond color hasn't been in style for years so what does that tell you. The bathroom fixtures are old. The townhouse gets hot upstairs and when you run the shower it's like a sauna due to no ventilation. Last but not least, tenants DO NOT pick up after their pets outside. That should be a violation and watched more closely. You can find better in the area.
