I've lived at Willow Lake Apartments for almost 2 years now, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The property is always clean, well-maintained, and feels like home. The amenities are fantastic, and the community atmosphere is warm and welcoming. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff—especially Emily. She goes above and beyond every single day to make sure residents are taken care of. Whether it's handling maintenance requests quickly, answering questions with a smile, or just checking in to make sure everything is going smoothly, Emily’s professionalism and kindness make a huge difference. You can tell she genuinely cares about the people who live here, and it shows in everything she does. If you're looking for a place to live where you're more than just a number, and where the team truly values your comfort and happiness, I highly recommend Willow Lake Apartments. I have lived at Willow Lake in the Townhome apartment for about a year now and we just renewed our lease. It has been the best living experience I have ever had and it's cheaper than my last 2 apartments! I can't speak for all the layouts, but the townhome is by far the best value per square foot available in the entirety of the north side of Marion county, and I've done a LOT of apartment shopping. We love our master bedroom and bathroom, huge amounts of kitchen cabinet space, the spacious dining/living room, the back patio, and the extra kitchen "nook" for shelving the insane amount of kitchen appliances we have. The maintenance crew is always on top of everything all the time and they work well and fast, 10/10. Put a maintenance request in and they'll be there in a few hours. The amenities are very nice. The pool area is kept clean and organized and has grills for a pool party bbq. The pet spa is great for washing my pets and getting them dry if they'd sit still. With today's terrible living expenses I didn't think I could afford to live somewhere this nice. I was wrong. Thanks y'all Update, my washing machine broke the other night and it was replaced as soon as regular service hours started the next morning with a brand new one. 5 stars

We’ve been at Willow Lakes for half a year, and I can confidently say there have been ZERO complaints! From move in day, the team has been very accommodating and receptive. Maintenance comes very promptly within 1-2 days, they even came out on the weekend to give us a space heater when we were awaiting a part for our heater. The community has always been quiet, and we’ve always felt safe. Never have to worry about parking either! Many spots for you and your roommates. The team also has many events throughout the year to bring the community together so there’s always fun going on! We will always recommend Willow Lakes to anyone in need of a new home.

Where to start? Amenities are great, the gym is quite complete, the tennis courts are great and the carwash area is a plus, water hose is not available during winter though. Staff is great, competent and friendly…you can tell they care about you and your family
We were fortunate to be able to call Willow Lake our home for several years. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the apartments are spacious and very well done both inside and out! The amenities offered are beyond compare -- loved the valet trash service!! The staff -- both the office staff and the maintenance staff are wonderful and they are very concerned that everything is done right and completed in a timely manner. I would highly recommend this community!
Moved into the Willow Lake Apartments in November 2018, and have enjoyed every minute of it. My loft is very spacious and was extremely clean before I moved in. I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff working for apartment complex, especially the manager. Every issue I have hard (which has only been a couple small things) was taken care of either the day of or the next day. All my neighbors are friendly and quiet. Overall, I really enjoy living here. The location is great. High suggested if you just looking for a simple and nice apartment.

I have lived at Willow Lake since August 2018 and rent the Cumberland floor plan. It is very spacious and perfect for roommates. I love the location as it is very safe. Also, it is nice to be able to walk to Trader Joe's or Panera Bread. Most everyone in the complex is friendly. All of the staff are really courteous and make sure that anything you need (within reason of course) is taken care of. Maintenance is great and handles any issues right away. The staff also double-check to make sure any maintenance request has been appropriately addresses.

The main reason for choosing Willow Lake was “no breed restrictions” for dogs. Their apartments are very spacious with multiple floor plans compared with other complexes. The amenities offered specifically the Dog Spa, Gym, Pool, and Car Spa are a huge benefit. The center location is close to all shopping needs. There is plenty of green space nicely landscaped. Equally important, the Office and Facilities Staff are very professional and extremely personable. Willow Lake is a true Apartment Home with a good community of residents. Scott B.

Lived here for more than 2 years. Love the neighbors and the neighborhood. Grounds are well kept. Maintenance fixes things for me pretty quickly. Rental office staff is very nice and helpful with any questions I have regarding lease renewal to package deliveries. Very happy here. I would highly recommend living here. It has been wonderful living here. The amenities are awesome; from the gym to the valet trash pickup from my front door. Great place to live.

I have lived in a few other apartment complexes over the years and though they were nice, I never felt as though I could trust the management. I got burned pretty badly by one complex who was just out seeking profit, which made my trust for rental communities slim. When I toured this community, the management was really nice but I thought surely it was just a facade and they would soon be strangers that would collect my money each month. This has been quite contrary to reality though. The office staff is so kind and helpful. They remember me, where I'm from, and little details that make me feel so welcomed and at home. The grounds are kept up very well and my apartment itself has been rather lovely with new appliances, a fireplace and an accent wall they painted for me when I signed my lease. -Taylor Bowen

Complex is well maintained and quiet! Great events hosted by staff hosted quite often. However, they need to be proactive with communication for their residents if they plan to paint or use toxins in the empty apartment next door, beside or above you. Breathing toxins is danergous especially if you're pregnant. Opening windows as per their advice doesnt cut it. My husband and I ended up staying at a nearby hotel with no reimbursement for their poor communication protocol and consideration for their residents.

My fiancé and I moved here almost 2 years ago and found this place as our first apartment to live in together. It’s awesome! The apartment itself is very spaceous, big enough for me to convince him to get a dog! The green space is great, we can take our golden retriever on nice walks and there’s a pet spa which is awesome for when he needs a bath. The pool is amazing, we love inviting friends over and taking them there over the summer. It’s big enough that you don’t feel like you’re sitting on top of the person next to you. The gym has a lot of equipment and room to do whatever workout you’re looking for! We absolutely recommend this place for anyone looking for a great place to live!

I have lived here for about four years now and I really love it here. During the spring / summer the grounds are beautifully landscaped and maintained. The outdoor pool area is kept very clean and has two grills available making it perfect for summer cookouts. The gym is well furnished with an indoor basketball court, weight set, elliptical, bikes, etc. As a tech geek, my biggest perk for living here is the internet. Just recently, AT&T fiber came into the area providing internet up to a 1 Gbps. The complex is also a pet friendly community. There is even a really nice pet spa available to give your dog a bath. Finally, the staff here has always been super helpful and friendly. If I have an issue the staff has always been quick to respond.

We found ourselves in that position three years ago. We were selling our home and downsizing. We did a lot of looking and found the perfect place, Willow Lake Apartment Homes. We have two bedrooms, two baths and a screened porch.The rooms are large and we even have a fireplace. The staff is wonderful. friendly and very helpful. We have recommended the complex to friends and they are now our neighbors. The complex has fun gatherings often in the beautiful clubhouse. Please come and visit Bud and Phyllis Bybee.

The Willow Lake Apartment complex is a great place to live! A few years ago my husband and I moved to Indianapolis and began our search for a place to call home. After viewing several apartment complexes, we were about to call it a day, when we passed by Willow Lake. Because of the style of the buildings and the beautiful trees and grounds, we assumed they were condos. However, when we took a second look, the sign at the entrance stated, "Apartment Homes." We went into the office, looked at the model, and the rest is history. I love the staff, the grounds, the pool, and everything about my neighborhood. Whatever you need is within a 5 to 10 minute drive, or walk, if you prefer. The amenities are great (gym, beautiful pool, holiday and pool parties, and the popular, "Wine Down Wednesdays." Willow Lake is a great place to live!

I’ve been living here for almost a year and has renewed my lease with them for another year. Everyone at the leasing office was very nice, especially Michelle and Justine who have been helping me. The maintenance crew was very nice as well. I love all the aminities and the events the have in Willow Lake, like the Wine Down Wednesday and even the Christmas Party with the other residences at the local restaurant that Willow Lake hosted. -Richard Aizawa

We’ve lived here for almost two years and we absolutely love it! There is such a strong sense of community and the grounds are absolutely beautiful. We also have the best amenities around. The best part though, is the staff. Every staff member is always so kind and helpful and they make a point to remember residents names and make you feel like family. The staff works hard to plan several fun and neat events throughout the year. Honestly just a really great place to live.

This location is so great! The grounds are very well kept and the amenities are endless. Very safe location being nestled between a high school and elementary school and very little noise given the proximity to the highway and busy 86th street. The staff is also so warm and welcoming, I felt right at home the second I walked into the main clubhouse. While it is more expensive than some of the other properties around, you are paying for a high quality apartment with your own washer and dryer, TONS of square footage, and lots of counter space in the kitchen which is a must for me. I cannot be happier with my choice to move to Willow Lake.
Looks nice on the outside, but these people will nickel and dime you. Nothing is as it seems here. They leaked my bank account information along with other personal details to a RANDOM person. Very unprofessional and nothing was done. Maintenance was excellent, but the leasing office is a revolving door of people. STAY AWAY! Also windows are very outdated. Our apartment had mold in the seals and nothing was done.
I live in the Kessler floor plan and have for about four months now! The space I have is amazing and I have been able to fit my huge furniture in the bedroom and even had to buy more to fill up space! I love the dark beige color on the walls that my apartment came with as well as the ability to paint if I want. I love living in a quiet neighborhood that is close to everything but doesn't have all the noise! The fitness on demand center in they gym is amazing and I don't need to pay for a gym membership anymore! My screened in porch is amazing to have when it's raining outside because I can still sit out there and read. I love my apartment and my apartment complex. It is in the perfect area!
So I really like my apartment. I tried to get in last year and was denied so I tried again this year and was approved. This spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom is simply beautiful. The master bathroom is to die for!! Step up jacuzzi garden tub, just wonderful. The patio is like a wrap around patio!!! For the rent, it's definitely worth it!!! I wish they had security alarms installed or doorbells. I would totally recommend this place!!! I read some reviews and some people have included some negative remarks, I think those were definitely not the norm. This place is really nice and I'm glad I'm here.
Willow Lakes is a fantastic place to live. All of our friends and family act as though we're living in a 5 star hotel or something. The space is awesome, amenities are top notch, great location, and awesome maintenance guys.
I have really enjoyed living here. Everything is really close and the amenities here are far above anywhere else. The service has always been top notch.
I am a 4 year resident at Willow Lake and have really enjoyed my stay. The apartments are huge and there are a lot of really nice amenities here. I love the pool and fitness center....there is an indoor basketball court! The location is decent....close to I-465 and Rock Bottom (my fave). The maintenance is decent and all of my neighbors are really friendly. The pool is so much fun on weekends. I definitely recommend living here!
06/15/2013 ~ Last Straw ~ Well the saga continues ladies and gentlemen. In the course of 1 year and 8 months I can honest suggest this apartment complex is not worth the hefty rental price I pay each month. The grounds and landscaping has drastically deteriorated due to improper management. Several trees have been cut down due to such improper maintenance. I still have loose bathroom floor tiles that have yet to be fixed, since the first day of rental. I am finding other apartment complexes offering more competitive monthly rental rates with better grounds, for the same square footage. My personal advice don't rent from Willow Lakes Apartments or any affiliate of NTS Development Company. They are overpriced and any rental lease signed comes with a hefty price and ridiculous fees. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 10/06/2013 ~ First Day ~ Its rather disparaging that I am... already having to write a review about an apartment complex. I recently signed a lease with Willow Lake Apartments with a move in date of Friday, October 7th, 2011. I have a rather extensive review process of how I research apartment complexes, whether I deem them appropriate living conditions, what type of neighborhood the complex resides in, et cetera. Willow Lake Apartments met all criteria and prior to signing the lease I was quite impressed. I worked all weekend, with the assistance of friends to load the moving truck in order to move in this morning, October 9th, 2011. Now as anyone who has moved before one would most likely back up the moving vehicle as close to the complex as possible, especially if you live on the second floor. I have been renting for more than 20 years and on moving day this has always been a welcomed OR acceptable practice. Unfortunately that was not the events that transpired this morning, at 10:00am. No sooner had I left the cab of the moving truck, one of the on-site staff had stormed over and proceeded to barate NOT ONLY myself but my friends, for parking so close to the building and strongly advised that I park further away from the building. After having done such she proceeded to storm back to what myself and my friends had perceived as her friends. Having not even spent a single night in this new complex I already feel discouraged and rather irritated with the unprofessional manner and lack of common etiquette this staff member portrayed. If I recall I am the customer. With being a customer you would hope for some level of professional courtesy or etiquette; especially given their monthly rates. A complaint has been filed with the Regional Manager and I have been reassured that this type of unprofessional behavior will not occur again.
