Pine Bluff is the ninth-largest city in Arkansas. A large attraction here is its proximity to nature, where you’ll find plenty of streams, trees, and the Bayou Bartholomew – the longest bayou in the world. The somewhat spread-out nature of Pine Bluff really lets nature in, and it’s hard to walk two blocks without seeing any green.
The farmland and wooded acres provide an opportunity for rural living in proximity to the city, and you’ll find some very pleasant people around town. The city is surrounded by beautiful farmland, which means fresh food. Explore the eateries at your leisure, but make sure you check out the amazing Lake Saracen Farmer’s Market.
Pine Bluff is fairly quiet but still maintains a rich history and culture. The Pine Bluff Film Festival is one of the city’s major events, aiming to restore the old Saenger Theater by hosting classic film screenings. You’ll also like the Arkansas Railroad Museum if you like trains and general U.S. history.
