Property Ratings at Westwood Manor
My husband and I were really happy to live there for 2 years. Ana is the most approachable property manager we ever had. She is always willing to listen, help and try her best to make us happy. I can understand that some tenants can be difficult to deal with, but I have witnessed her listening to tenants' concerns and bringing those up to the management. At the end of the day, the property manager is a middle person between tenants and the owner (management company) and because of that, her job can be tough to make everyone happy, but she goes extra miles to make it happen. She is also willing to work with tenants. There has been multiple times that we need to ask her something in person after her normal business hours, but she was willing to meet us. She is on time with our maintenance requests. The maintenance team is also amazing! You can totally count on thier skills! Last but not least, she did amazing job on recent renovations. The color of the building entetior is now much better, thanks to her great sense!
Lived here for a year, it's a nice and quiet place to live with, facility is clean and mostly renovated. This is a non smoking facility they said but you could see and smell cigarette smoke specially at night. Never saw a Spa and game room.? Manager is very rude and annoying. Doesn't know how to respect tenants, very unprofessional, intimidating and never listens to your concerns but instead put the blame on you. All you could hear in the morning is her loud voice in the hallway. Most people left the place because of her attitude.
They will say anything to get you to move in! BEWARE!!! Management claims it is a nonsmoking complex, it is not!!! The odor of marijuana is potent because the units are old and have not been renovated and the odor leaks through. Also, people smoke in their units and management dose not do anything because, "I can't pinpoint which unit the odor is coming from." They say no pets, but I know in my building there are two dogs living in two units. I see them walk their dogs everyday. Let management know and they said they will look into it. I have been here for 4 months and within the 4 months had to call the cops twice. Once due to a domestic altercation , which lasted for 45 minutes when a female was screaming for someone to help her and call the police, which I did. The second, someone got robbed and I reported seeing a suspicious person in our building, who easily got in because the front access door was broken. It was fixed 3 weeks after the burglary. The gutter is broken by my unit, which caused flooding in another unit, so how do they resolve the issue? By fixing the gutter, NO! They break a hole in the cement boarder and drain the water through the hole. Now I have a hole in my patio where I see squirrels use as a door. Have requested for them to fix my gutter and hole in my patio, but both are still broken, it's been 3 months. Apartment is old, pipes are old. Do not be fooled by the aesthetic updates as I was. Nothing to the building has been updated! A pipe line is being held up by multiple stacks of bricks. BEWARE!!!!
Lived here 3 years, quiet and was comfortable. Did not have to pay for water/trash/gas so that was cool. Moved 3 months ago and am still trying to get deposit back, management changes frequently. But, overall we were very happy here. There is no spa/game room, they got rid of those years ago. Also not smoke free, people smoke in the parking area all the time.
My apartment is a townhouse high ceilings. Great location great part of torrance. Great pool. Good neighbors around me. Nice quiet place
