Do not live here they don’t care about your safety and give your ROOM keys out to where people will be able to walk in your room. It’s TERRIFYING. It also smells like mold everywhere.

Horrible staff, dirty rooms, Roach and bug infested, property not maintained the list goes on an on. Will charge you for any and everything when you move out. Shameless people. I will start at my moving int process, it was awful, it’s impossible to get into contact with anyone in the leasing office to ask questions let alone inquire to get an appointment for tours, or Appartment applications. The lease is like a trap less of an agreement, you only have thre days to change your mind is you don’t have keys and if you want to back out you have to find someone to take on your lease an live here in your stead? The rent is so first of the month so if you move in on 17 of May you will pay May First and June First not including if you did a PPA agreement this is completely separate from that cost. Nextly this building is digusting, the cleaner doesn’t clean she spot checks the the first floor where the leasing off is and that’s it, also the horrible roach problem, I had to for several months straight fight off roaches from the moment I moved in till the moment I could finall request from the exterminator to come since they had been booked out for months, and they didn’t do a goo job my roommate an I had to over a mom call him back 3 times to spray, and we still had to buy pesticides to get rid of them ourselves. The Shuttles break down or the drivers quit so often that the shuttles are more often than not out of service or only going to one stop on the given route or you have to wait 3 hours to even catch a shuttle doing the same route since only one busy will be operating for the week or month. It’s so loud here, people dogs bark none stop for hours and hours every day an all night. Their dogs poop everywhere and since the janitor doesn’t clean their poop stays in hallways and stair cases or where ever the dog poop and the owner doesn’t clean after them. The pipes leak all the time, the fire alarm randomly goes off once a month, the pipes and water barely work and maintenance straight up ignores your request. I have sen ton 3 request for the same broke drain issue in my bathroom and they came once, did not fix the issue and never came after I requested again that the issue was not resolved. We have no cable, the internet connection is spotty and the Leasing staff thought nice often don’t know the answer to questions and often enter apartments even though the resident doesn’t respond or request them not to. The Mail room is unorganized, I receive someone else’s mail every day and it takes for ever to receive my own mail or it gets sent back due to one issue or another.

They will do anything to take your money. I tried to get out of my lease months before moving in they wouldn’t hear any of this l, when I got there the pool was shut down the entire time I was living there, the parking situation was a mess as well almost every time my guests come over they got booted and charged 70 dollars I checked in with all these guests and logged in with their parking app yet still they got booted and finally as I was leaving they decided to immediately start renovating the apartment, me and my three Roommates were still living there and they took down our cabinets without telling us they were going to and threw all of our stuff into the living room. There were also more typical problems with the building the water was undrinkable there were bugs everywhere the trash shoot was always blocked off most of the front desk staff was fine but some were fully inept and other quite rude. Now they are charging me a cleaning fee after trashing my unit as I was moving out stay away from this building

This place sucks. They'll 'match' you with the complete opposite of yourself for roommates, and then do nothing about it. They'll take forever to get to maintenance requests and then do close to nothing about the problem. Not to mention that if your apartment is close to the basketball court, you're never sleeping a full night. You can complain and complain, begging them to do something about it, but they refuse to. They'll play basketball until close to 6 in the morning and staff will do nothing about it because they don't care about the well-being and happiness of their residents. Don't live here, you deserve better.

Babyyyyyyyy when I say RUNNNNNN! I mean it. The concept is great. The management is very rude. The parking is the money grab. Be sure to check all that b4 hand. So far I have seen a baby roach. Be awareeeeeeeeee ?? I hate it here fo show
Worst place to live!!! DO NOT RENEW OR SIGN a lease here!!! For one, I’ve been complaining about noise from upstairs for 3 MONTHS and there has been no resolution and now they want me to pay a $450 transfer fee for peace of mind which is CRAZY even after I’ve been promised my fee will be waived. Since my first day, I’ve had issues because the unit I was suppose to go in, which was a 2x2 was given to someone else and I had to take what was left. When I moved in there was TRASH ALL in my kitchen and bugs in my unit after I was promised that my unit was cleaned. The front office managers are NEVER around, either on vacation or out of town or in a meeting. There were dead bugs all in the walls and kitchen area and I had to literally stay on top of pest control for a month and a half. Then, it took me 2 months to get my TV services due to no one knowing the account numbers to program my cable box and I still had to include cable in my rent. The worst decision you could make is giving this place a chance it’s filthy, staff constantly changes and there’s always a fire alarm going off. I’m seeking legal advice to break my renewal due to them not letting me cancel since I’ve already signed it. You should always be able to cancel a renewal since you haven’t started that new lease, so that’s a MAJOR RED FLAG!
This place is a dump. Most of the reviews on this site never actually lived there. This roach ridden, filthy complex lures unsuspecting students and lots of older non students with advertising and model units that in no way reflect the true condition of the complex. We saw kids in tears when they see the condition of their units upon move in. Storage of food in airtight containers is a must to avoid being overrun with roaches. Hallways stink of drug use. But this dump is the furthest of all the complexes from GT. If you are going to live in a dump. Live in one closer to campus, shopping and entertainment.
There are so many things I could say but I can only put a few: roaches, flies, rats, trash through the hallways, terrible management, nonexistent maintenance, homicides, drug dealers, 30 y/o’s living here, terrible security, half the ‘locked’ doors are always open, and more

I moved in August 2021, I saw good and bad reviews but I really needed a place to stay so I ignored them but please don’t ignore them. Something that they don’t tell you is that it also low income housing for people that aren’t students and the apartments is dirty. I have been in altercation with roommates and Westmar didn’t care until my mother and I threatened to call the cops. My roommate was in her 30s , I was 18. Worst apartment ever.
Living here was very degrading. Mentally distressed and depressing as well. They don’t care how this place looks or how the residents treat the place. They try to belittle the people because it’s “student living” but even a security guard that works there don’t even like it and wouldn’t recommend. Trash is a problem. Pets and pests are a problem. Maintenance and pest control doesn’t even hit the bare minimum mark. This isn’t somewhere to call home and you can barely get comfortable. They don’t match roommates based on preferences and over pricing to be living with bugs and barely put together furniture. But this is living? Most people in the office either are rude or barely have an answer for anything. The main concern they have is literally the money. This establishment can barely keep the place up and in tact. It needs new management a REAL DEEP CLEAN, REAL PEST CONTROL, and all of the above. Please don’t be confused or mislead by the different floor plan names. Nothing is really different from elite/luxury or standard. If a person is paying more it should at-least look way better. So many of the same complaints over and over how could management not put action in order? The job is to make sure residents are satisfied. But no. WESTMAR gave me a horrible time take this as a sign and don’t. The prices may look decent but it’s not worth it. It’s not worth the mistreatment and unprofessionalism. Well, at-least for me it wasn’t and that’s why I had to leave before my lease was up. This isn’t even half the things I’ve experienced but just don’t. This place needs a true revival. Just because the lobby looks good doesn’t mean anything, once you get on the elevator or step into the hallways it’s like a different world. Do not be catfished by the amenities and decorated lobby nor persuaded by the act they put on. They need to do better but this just may get ignored just like all the other SAME complaints people has had over the years. Do better. God bless all.
Cheap and affordable living so it deserves one star. Maintenance is always late, lacks proper building security but the neighborhood is good luckily, slight bug problem, extremely awful guest parking policies. Customer service could be slightly better, but if you come across a worker that cares, you should be okay. Very poor quality furniture. It just seems like the people at Westmar don't care what goes on in the facility as much as they should. There focus is always on making sure the rent email gets sent and they get there money. But if you only care about an affordable roof above your head and decent safety in the community, Westmar is your place!
I am not a picky person and normally would never complain but this was the most traumatizing living experience for me and all of my roommates. Out of the 4 original roommates 2 of them passed the lease on by week 1 because the conditions were just unlivable. I was the only one who endured and I suffered every day. Dirty, management never responds, elevators are always broken, regularly have to step over vomit in stairs, and they find excuses to take your money and fine you extra whenever they can (I’ve been fined 300$ for not going through the long complex registration process for taking in a guest). Awful.

Westmar has a good scenery and is an enjoyable place to live. Nice community.
Westmar is the place to be! they got a pool, a gym, a shuttle, they let you have to dogs here, it’s close to a lot places, they got a coffee machine, a lounge, it’s really fun. I love Westmar. Go Westmar. we even get free food sometime!

Westmar is a very easy place to live. The best location in west midtown for convenience and walking. Close to store food and gas stations and schools.a big fan of the two bedroom layouts and the amenities! Pooand game room are so nice and they offer a lot of events.
These apartments are very very nice ! plenty of rooms to pick from & all are very spacious . However , maintenance and staff are absolutely terrible and do not care about their residence. I moved in here in August and have had a broken refrigerator every since this is still an ongoing problem to this day. my roommate who has also lived here for a year prior has also dealt with the same broken fridge. units weren’t even prepared properly when we moved in. although these apartments are very nice between the unwanted and outrageous late fees they charge and the broken down appliances inside of the unit I’m not sure that our pros outweigh the cons.

Frustrating to deal with the leasing office in regards to serious safety and health concerns
I've lived here for 4 months and I've had nothing but issues. The elevators have been broken 3 times, there was a massive leak in the lobby, and there are bugs in my apartment. The worst thing being, I had 3 inches of standing water in my apartment for 4 days, no one did anything!! I called the office so many times and no one answered. The water at that point was still high and it started to smell. The hallways smell disgusting at all times. The parking garage gates have been locked twice so no one was able to get in or out of the garage for about an hour. Save your money! Find another place!
I would never live here again . my first night as a resident I woke up to a boot on my car and for a week I couldn’t get ahold of the parking director after calling multiple times a day. Any chance to take your money they will . They charged me late fees for days while I’m thinking my rent payment went through fine . It went up by 200 dollars for me to finally receive a message from them . Visitors have to pay for parking everyday they’re there . It’s not the cleanest place either . In the pictures it looks shiny and welcoming , but in person it’s the complete opposite , spend your money somewhere more worth it!!!
This is a great place to live! Very good amenities for the low price. They even have events ever few weeks! Cara hosted the event today at the pool & it was a great time! We had drinks if you were of age & food!

The property in unclean and unkept. Bugs in rooms and common areas, no weekly extermination as stated in amenities. Staff (leasing, security,& maintenance) is unprofessional and unresponsive.

Luther made our tour an awesome experience! We loved the spacious apartment, bedrooms and very nice sized bathroom along with all of the Westmar amenities. Everyone we met was super nice and eager to answer any questions we had. Thank you to Luther and all of the Westmar staff!!
This whole review is really for a young lady named Sydney in the leasing office. This was my first time signing a lease and she was so patient with me. She answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable enough to ask. I even needed to switch my lease a few times and she never made me feel like she was annoyed. My experience with her was so pleasant I am excited to move in !
The leasing agent, Devon helped out so much with the entire process. No question went unanswered nor concerned addressed. It’s important to have that good energy when moving to a new place. The all inclusive price is great! Move here!
I recently toured the property, looking for a placement for a family member. I was helped my staffer Lani and he provided us with excellent customer service. He was patient and kind and answered all 101 of our questions!
I had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Devon over the phone. He was very attentive and made sure all of my questions were answered. He was very informative as well. I highly recommend these lofts if you are considering moving here.
Long story short.. never lived here, never received a key, nor seen the apt, but yet, owe them over $6,000 as listed on my credit report? Excessive and ridiculous! Makes no sense and is a shame. Don’t live here as a college student. Not worth it!
It seems like a really nice place to live. I popped up randomly a few days ago, and wasn't allowed to take an in-person tour because of Covid restrictions, but the leasing team and courtesy patrol personnel were all so sweet, and I got to take a virtual tour instead. I think I'm most in love with the rooftop track and study areas. Sometimes, especially after a long day's work, trying to accomplish work in my apartment proves to be a harder task than one might think, so I'm happy I have the option to walk down to an area designed specifically for productivity! Also absolutely adore the loft-style aesthetic! Perfect!
I have been here for over 6 months and I can honestly say it’s a great start. You can’t beat the price! Also, it has a shuttle if you go to school.

westmar has no guest friendly system in place for parking. westmar apparently uses a public parking garage, which is free to residents but their guest has to pay $3 to park overnight which is fine! however the parking pass must also be updated to, which you and your guest must sign in at the front desk to receive (mind you i’m about 3 buildings away from the front desk .. so its a walk). now if you have company staying overnight, every day they stay you must get a new parking pass before 9AM or they boot your car... EVERYDAY! as a resident why not offer weekend passes? my boyfriend can’t even come and visit me without having to pay 75.00 because we forgot to get a new piece paper even though i paid for the time!!!! yesss this is student living, HOWEVER when the 1st of the month come around i’m an adult and my payment is due, but stuff like this i feel as though i’m getting treated like child! I don’t even like having guest over because its just too much! honestly its a lot more with westmar that i could complain about but this one hit the needle on the head for me! Please, if you can, don’t give these folks your money, look somewhere else. let this be your LAST RESORT! I wish i took heed to the complaints already made
Living at Westmar was the worst choice I've ever made. It was literally the worst living experience of my life. I only decided to live here because they had free transportation on campuses, but even that was a letdown. Do not be fooled by the glamour and friendliness they portray while on the viewing tour; they want your money. I lived here for two years, and I wish I spared myself the headache and frustration that comes with dealing with Westmar and their greedy and unethical company. The property is FILTHY; residents leave trash wherever they see fit. Westmar does not care about your safety; it pretty much takes you getting physically attacked or possibly dying for them even to take some action. There is no quiet when you're trying to study or get some rest because residents are either fighting in the parking lot, fire alarms randomly going off after midnight, or a resident is practicing opera at 3 in the morning. Your roommates may most likely be the complete opposite of what you fill out in your application. The whole property smells like marijuana, the furniture is cheap, and overall the experience is overpriced. Save yourself from heartache and find somewhere safer, more affordable, and altogether kinder to live.
