Westgrove Tower Condominiums

Pam was so helpful during my move-in! She made everything super easy and smooth. I love my new apartment — it feels like home already! The staff at Westgrove Towers are all so friendly and welcoming. Great place to live!

Bill is great! He takes care of all things! I like the high rise building. I feel classy!

This place has nothing going for it. It doesn't matter how clean you are, how many cans of raid you buy on your own dime, you will not be able to get rid of the roaches. They are a permanent fixture. You will find them in your fridge, shower, microwave, purse (if you leave it open) dirty clothes), in the laundry room, sometimes in your bed! When you turn on the light at night to use the restroom, don't have a heart attack when they scatter. Take a look at the trash situation. There is a 1 dumpster you can't reach, due to the wall of garbage bags all over the ground. Trash galore inside the building as well. The higher the rent goes, the shadier the tenants. Tenants freely throw trash down inside the elevators or wherever they happen to be walking. No class, no upbringing. South Central Raleigh called and said keep their residents, Westgrove. I use to say at least this place has a lot of parking, but come to find out, that large parking lot when you enter doesn't even belong to Westgrove and is now fenced off. Therefore, the only pro I can give this roach hotel is that the unit doors are pretty thick and can't easily be kicked in. Keep looking, this place isn't it! Oh, and they force you to purchase Spectrum through them, whether you want it or not. Even if your own employer provides you with free wifi/cable, you have to pay them for Spectrum. -signed, throwing a party when my lease ends!

Pros: 1. Staff is friendly and helpful 2. Good location for me Cons: 1. The other reviews are correct - there are a lot of roaches here. The exterminator gets around to the apartment about 3 times a year. If you continue to see roaches you can ask the main office to have them come again. The exterminator usually just walks in, does 2 quick sprays/squirts on the floor in front of the sink and leaves. It's good for about 3 weeks. Then you start seeing roaches again(usually baby ones in my apt). I am constantly having to buy Raid and use it every weekend. That usually keeps the roaches away, but I shouldn't have to spend money, and breath in Raid fumes all the time. 2. The elevators are constantly breaking down. There are 11 floors here and people either have to stay in their apartments until the elevators get fixed or walk up and down the stairs (carrying groceries, work laptops, brief cases, etc. at times) 3. As another reviewer wrote there is a smell in the hallways, and usually some light trash/paper on the floors where people drop stuff and don't pick it up. The strong, spicy smell, I think, comes from all the cooking some people do inside their apartments seeping out onto the hallways. The carpet has been here a long, long time. And yes, you do smell marijuana at times. 4. People don't seem to care about cars here. I have more dents in my car since moving here a few months ago then I've ever had. Also, some people like to always take up two parking spaces and the office says there's nothing they can do about that. So, you end up having to park in the very back of a large parking area because others want to take up two spaces in front of the building. I've never lived anywhere else where the office wouldn't take care of this issue. 5. There has been a smell coming from the refrigerator area in my studio apt. It almost smells like escaping Freon. Visitors have noticed it, and so did one of the office staff. However, Maintenance apparently can't smell anything. I'm breathing in whatever this is, yet nothing is being done.

I love living here! The office staff is friendly and helpful. Yes, the building is an older building but I have honestly not had any problems that weren't corrected immediately.

DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!! There are roaches everywhere and they’ve been here for years terminex comes and goes and nothing changes! My baby boy has had roaches in his sanitizer I keep on our counter, CLEAN! I’ve had a roach CRAWL up my leg and complained multiple times and nothing is done. People are so nice here and don’t get me wrong it’s a cute cheap place. But when people don’t care about you living with a disgusting insect. Then there’s a problem

Place is completely infested with bugs. They claim to spray each floor once every other month but it doesn’t do anything to help. Many of the people here are very creepy as well, I’m sure many could not pass a background check without showing a criminal record. The surrounding area is very sketchy and has a frequent crime track record. The hallways also smell horrible and the the walls leak. Oh and did I mention the bugs. Yeah if you are a sensible human being that cares about a healthy living environment, do NOT live here.

The apartment needs to replace hallway carpet as there is a constant odor. This likely stems from the many residents who smoke indoors with little regard to property or neighbors.

I visited them in September and the staff is AWESOME! I did not qualify due to income, but this would have been a great affordable apartment for me. I am on Disability and have been shocked at the discrimination I have been faced with. Westgrove really tried to help find a way to qualify me! I wish I was at home there now! Keep up the good job ladies!!
