The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

We’re grateful for your recommendation and even more grateful to have you as part of our West Winds family. Thank you for being here, and please never hesitate to reach out if there’s ever anything you need.
This is my first apt. And although the pictures didn’t match what was online. Once I moved in the staff went above & beyond to make my stay awesome. But the part that stands out is the maintenance guy Jason he is the sweetest hard working guy I know. He works off the clock and overtime to make sure all residents are taking care of and the homes are in great standard. I highly recommend moving here.

I no longer live on the property HOWEVER I accidentally sent a package to the property and freaked out immediately due to other packages that I have been unable to retrieve when accidentally sent to West Winds. Once I realized my mistake I called and got Courtney who within 20 minutes was able to recover my package and call me back to pick it up!! I'm truly appreciative.

I moved into a 2 bedroom in March 2023 and have renewed my lease for another year. Jackie and the others part of the property team are always around and available during office hours. There’s a number for emergencies but I’ve never needed to use it. They make repairs and keep up with maintenance. It’s relatively quiet here and we have access to the Harbison Rec Center.

Horrible renting experience! The unit was in really poor condition and everything was getting done last minute. We were not allowed to see the unit in person before submitting application and were promised a really nice revamped unit. When we finally were allowed to see the unit, it was in horrible condition. We declined the unit and asked their management to receive a refund on the admin fee and they agreed. They never refunded us. I followed up several times a week and they never replied and ignored my phone calls and voicemails. Obviously they lied. Stay away!!!. Bad management people and low class property!
Nice clean and quiet property! Rates are good plenty of space for me.
This is truly a hidden jewel! I moved in this week, my unit is beautiful, alyssa is so professional and dependable. The neighborhood is safe and peaceful. Dog friendly and prime location!!!
What attracted me to the community was the front office personnel, that person is long gone now, and the fact that Harbison is a townhome community which is indeed unique in the Columbia market. Also, the three bedroom apartments have ample square footage and is configured in a way that maximizes that square footage. It also comes with a washer and dryer combo which is included in your base rent. Oh and it is satellite tv ready. The downsides- the apartment complex is old and has electrical problems. But the apartment is making efforts to update the facade of the buildings--inside and out. So it appears like it looks very nice but substantive issues like plumbing, water, drainage, and the AC needs some TLC. All of the apartments are facing AC issues and the apartments have change out all the units for entire rows of apartments at the same time. This means that current residents are suffering and new resident are unknowly buying a grenade that won't go off again till next summer. Some less than others as their units may not be completely out but just work at a subpar level. Also, because of all this, the one and only maintenance personnel can't handle the work load and requests go unanswered for minor issues that are still the office's responsibility. Some residents have drainage issues (those at the bottom of a hill)which you can see for yourself from the sandbags lining certain apartments. Their apartments frequently flood on rainy days and the apartment complex has promised at least one I've talked to that they would fix the issue soon (3 years ago ppl). Oh and if you have an AC issue, they no longer provide temporary units to tied you over until it's "fixed." As for amenities, there is a playground and an outdoor vending machine. Inside the office, they stock free sodas and coffee. Unfortunately, there is no workout center on site. But you get access to the Harbison Recreational Center that's right across the way without an extra fee and it also has a pool. But as other reviews have said that's not much. If you are a family with children, the center and its staff are not very friendly to your children. The environment there is very much catered towards welcoming the elderly and those without young children despite their various advertisements. Also there are well lit and well maintained trails done by the Harbison staff. They lead to a beautiful fountain in the woods and park with wildlife.
West Wind apartments are satisfactory apartments for the Harbison area. They are unique because they are town homes so you have a first and second story. Especially nice if you want to escape your significant other :). The downfalls are there is no fitness center (instead you get a free membership to the Harbison rec center hint hint not that great), there is no pool, there are no overhead lights in the living room or bedrooms, no ceiling fan (we're in South Carolina). You can rent a washer and dryer which is nice considering the laundry room will only support the stacker washer and dryers. The kitchen amenities are outdated, the paint on he front door never dried from a year ago it's magic paint or something so half my clothes are stained with red paint. All in all I've been here 4 years because I'm too lazy to move and they still jack up rent every year. Hope they're using it towards a pool but won't get my hopes up.
