Amenities need an update. Common spaces are not very clean. Elevators routinely smell like trash, urine or dog. Security is lacking. However, leasing office is very nice. Location is good and pricing is fair for area.

Some amenities don’t always work (I.e trash chute or buzzer system) and we’ve had quite a few experiences with the fire alarms going off in our building, but overall we enjoy living in this community.

The West of Chestnut is a beautiful building with luxury apartments and top-notch amenities. I love the location, and I can see myself living here for a few years. I just completed a lease renewal to stay at WoC. While I am very happy with the apartment, location and amenities, communication with the WoC team is wanting. In my initial lease signing a year ago, the person managing the email account requested for the same paperwork for our cat multiple times. This time around, it took the team 2 days to upload our updated renters insurance, and 4 days to change my name. Both of these instances were only clarified after I went down to the office multiple times and spoke with the team, despite being documented in emails. While this is a minor inconvenience and in no way a reason to move, it is frustrating to have to follow up with the team multiple times.

It’s a really beautiful building with all modern fittings and amenities. The only problem I faced was the parking, but the chestnut st is pretty safe to keep the car on street. So, after I physically moved in to this house, I didn’t have any problem. The neighborhood is nice and friendly. It’s a very well maintained building too. They will do the maintenance work on time for every individual task.

this apartment has an issue for receiving packages, office won't open at 10am, and concierge only work from 3pm, whatever packages that are delivered before 10 am and need signature will be hard to be received. And there are noise super early in the morning from cottage ave.

Really great move in. Apartment and facility was clean. I’m a great location. Staff have been great and accommodating us with getting settled in.

I like the premises and the amenities, though I need to still explore this place. The apartment has been in good condition. One of the biggest cons was the house stinks due to a garbage disposal issue, and the stove unit was stinking as well. We had to put out service requests multiple times but the management finally did replace the plumbing associated with it. That seems to have fixed it. All in all, the management has been super prompt in fixing stuff.

Great experience so far! Everyone is helpful and the amenities are awesome: love gym, and all the restaurants in the neighborhood. The windows create such a bright and cheery atmosphere in our apartment.

For the most part it’s very lovely to live in WOC. The amenities are great and it’s in a great location. There are a few things that could use some love like the trash chutes. Overall a nice place - just a little pricey.

Moving into my new apartment has been an exciting and seamless experience! From the moment I stepped inside, I was impressed by the spacious layout and modern design. The natural light flooding through the large windows gives the place a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and the high-quality finishes throughout the apartment make it feel like a real home. The kitchen is fully equipped with updated appliances, perfect for preparing meals, and the bathroom is sleek and stylish. The location is another huge plus—conveniently close to grocery stores, public transportation, and parks. The building itself is well-maintained, with friendly neighbors and excellent on-site management. The moving process was surprisingly smooth, thanks to the helpful and efficient staff. I’ve already started to personalize my space, and it’s been such a joy to make it my own. Overall, I’m incredibly happy with my decision to move here, and I’m looking forward to making many great memories in this new chapter!

Great area to live in, building main tent always on time. Pet friendly. Safe to walk around with your dog or alone. Restaurants and supermarkets near by, along with city hall.

Living at this apartment community has been an okay experience. The amenities and location are great, but there are some significant downsides. The parking lot is a disaster, with Uber Eats drivers constantly speeding through and parking haphazardly on curbs and sidewalks. It's frustrating to navigate. Additionally, restaurant workers often sit around smoking, which can be unpleasant. Inside the apartments, the walls seem to be painted with just primer, so they start looking dirty and gross pretty quickly. There's also an occasional unpleasant sewage smell that permeates the place. Overall, it's a mixed bag.

West of Chestnut, so far is a very nice community to live in. I like the convenience of the area whether it be spots to eat or the closeness of the beach. I’ve had very good interactions with managers and leasing agent so far.

Everything at West of Chestnut is awesome. Everyone on staff is awesome. Guest parking is a bit of a nightmare is the only issue I would say with nowhere in the lot permitting parking.
