Property Ratings at Waterford Glen
So I’ve almost finished my lease at Waterford and let me say that this is the definition of living in the slums. I’ve had no oven for the last year even though they’ve repaired it countless times. There was an issue with my ac at one point which took 4 months to fix one of those being may. There’s a piece of plywood over my shower to cover up a massive hole that no one has fixed. Finally they did not clean well enough because no matter what I do I can’t get rid of the cigarette grim and smell for the ac vents. So whatever you do don’t live here.

While the units themselves fairly spacious and functional, this complex is ran in an extremely poor manner from top to bottom. There are problems with plumbing, roaches, and rats. Maintenance rarely shows up. At one point my daughter and myself were forced to go nearly 2 MONTHS without air conditioning in the middle of the Summer after sending multiple requests for it to be fixed. I was mislead by management on the phone as to what the details of my lease were and forced to pay over $1000 more than we discussed. Then upon moving out and clearing my balance to zero, I was charged an extra $225 a month later without being notified in any way. This was sent to collections, and the justification for this is that they sent the notice to my "last known address," a.k.a their own mailbox. Even though they had my email address and phone number on file and could've easily notified me. I will be strongly recommending anyone I know to avoid this place at all costs.

Horrible management that wont answer any requests and or calls. They LOVE to take every nickle, penny and dime earned. Please listen carefully when I say STAY AWAY! I wouldnt be surprised if they tore these down soon.

Waterford Glen is a decently nice property, but the staircases are always gross, it takes a while for maintenance issues to be fixed, and often the issues are only temporary fixes rather than something permanent and of good quality.

Cockroach infestation in multiple buildings. Hardwood floors were dirty when I moved in, carpet smelled of vinegar. It took 1 1/2 months for maintenance to fix the leak under my kitchen sink and they completely ignored another request of mine. I have friends in other buildings and maintenance and management told one their A/C wasn't broken when it wouldn't cool down, and another friend her front door lock was fine when it wouldn't lock half the time. She is young and lives alone and didn't feel safe with her door not locking at night. They bill for utilities differently than most apartments in the area so instead of paying about $30-40 a month for utilities for one person (not including electric) I was paying about $70-80 a month. They charge you for water, water base, sewer, sewer base, gas, pest control, trash and a service fee for the billing company they use. Most other place here just charge for water and gas if they use gas. Management is nice until you need something and then they have a terrible attitude. My friends in other apartments have had issues with management being rude too and being terrible with communicating. They take longer than other apartments to deposit checks. They use a billing service, so if anything is ever wrong with your bill, they'll act like they can't do anything about it. They don't accept packages on our behalf and they're the only complex I have lived that doesn't. They require a 2 month move-out notice instead of the typical 30 day like most other places so while we were looking for a new place to live, other locations didn't know their future availability and that made us feel unstable with our future.
I have lived at this complex for 5 years now. It is dog friendly with reasonable pet deposits. There is a park close by to walk your pets in. The maintenance service is prompt and friendly. The complex is on a main bus route and is within walking distance of a major college. There is an excellent 4 star restaurant within walking distance and several a few blocks away.It's main attribute in my opinion, is the fact that they frequently make improvements, and have recently installed new roofing. The apartments are nice, clean, and I would recommend them to everyone.
Ive been here 4 years with no issues. quiet and spacious. Walking distance to the university . Close to the mall and other Shopping areas . The Office employees are welcoming. They have events for certain holidays . Give them a call!
