Walnut Creek Apartments

I don’t know if the management office was bad or the people in the office were. I reported leaks, bugs, rats and thieves. They didn’t replied to me for 1.5 months, then they let me wait for another month. When I asked the maintenance guys when they were chatting and laughing at the lawns, they said they were never assigned to fix my apartment. Some of my electric device broke because of bugs and rats. The office never toke responsibility and they changed the management (2023-2024). They forced us to move out then charge you extra money! So cruel.

An absolute horror show. Do not even give this place a chance. Since moving in it has been nothing but terrible. To start the floors are all warped and coming up, constantly dealing with cockroachs and other bugs crawling up through the floor boards, the bathroom sink is falling off the wall and so much more. The worst part is noone will answer my calls or emails. And when you try to call, it hangs up on you. Oh and my ac is not working but there is no where to put in for a work order and its 95! I wish I could post all my photos and videos of how disgusting and terrible this place truly is. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

When they say renovated apartments, they simply mean painted apartments. The management is very unprofessional and rude to the point they treat you like you not paying your rent. You better look somewhere else and yourself a lot of headaches.

- Ask the office to do a tour of the exact place before you pay the NON refundable application and deposit. - Maintenance is non existent. I replace my own filters and I pay for my own pest control services because I'm stuck on a year lease. - Lastly, realize that those are the pre 1970 homes with a touch up renovation. The $250 electrical is usual and hearing your neighbors shewing sound is casual. Yes the walls are that thin.

I applied and paid app fee and admin fee. Never heard a word back other then the company who ran the credit check. This property management never answered my 3 emails asking if the status of my application. They took my money and ran.

Been living here for two years and they’re terminating our lease with no reason given. We’re good tenants; rent is always on time. They’re doing this to many units so they can renovate them and have them ready to drastically up charge, my guess for college students in the fall.

Moved out a few months ago. This place went through 3 different management companies in 6 months. These apartments are completely falling apart. In the time I lived there I dealt with leaks, bugs, rats, and poor heating in the winter months. I felt like I was constantly waiting for the next thing to break down. Please be cautious and don’t be fooled by the pretty pictures you see - and don’t move in unless you’ve actually walked through the unit that you’ll be living in.

Beware of this company! I have had the worst experience with them. Maintenance would show up at the apartment without notice and refuse to fix appliances, ignoring my requests for up to weeks. There was also an instance where their maintainance employee entered my apartment without knocking or saying a word. I was terrified as I had no idea they were coming and no verbal warning was given (they hadn’t contacted me back in days). When they realized I was in the home (which they could have already realized just looking by the packing spaces), they left and entered again a few minutes later. I never received an apology or recognition of the incident, though it was communicated to them. When I moved out, I was promised my deposit back/told it would be mailed. When I contacted them about it, they refused to honor it. This company is disrespectful, dishonest, and will not handle anything in a timely manner.

I just moved to the area and wanted to be close to NC State. I love the location its close to walking trails also. The price point for the 2 bedroom was perfect and its just so quiet all my neighbors are friendly. The staff in the office were very friendly and such a huge help as i was looking for an apartment in Raleigh. I highly recommend Walnut Creek to anyone looking to live in South Raleigh.

Nice area dispite being near a busy road Best biking trails downtown and it's woodsy enough so you don't feel like your in a sufficating city.

Don’t even think about moving here!!! it’s an old building with unprofessional management team, every time you call they told that they have to much work even in case of emergency. You gonna have problems with water leaking, heater, they replaced my refrigerator 3 time and still bring old one with maintenance problem. It was a snow weekend everybody waiting for a very cold weather, my heater was down I call the office they come check it and they can’t fix it until Monday because he don’t want to work overtime and he will take him 4 hours to fix it!! I spoke to the manager she said that somebody will Saturday morning to fix it, next day somebody show up check it for 10 min and he said it fix, as soon as he leave I lost the power at home I call the office nobody answer my call until evening time they told me nobody want to come to fix it because it snow even it’s an emergency and I don’t have power at home I try to call the manager nobody answer my call for 2 days of snow I don’t have heater or power!!!! Monday they said nobody told him I have an emergency and that was just mass communication between technicians!!!!!!

When I left they tricked me to rob my money. They told me they can waive the 60 days notice just give us a 31 days notice. I did that and at the end, they charged me for the 60 days. When I talked to the manager, she was cold and not friendly at all.
