Just half an hour from Downtown Memphis, Gray's Creek features generous condos, apartments, and houses for rent. This rural area is a haven for equestrians and nature lovers. The Latting Hills Equestrian Center on Latting Hills Cove center boards horses in a clean, comfortable barn on a property with hiking trails and a six-acre lake. The bulk of the neighborhood is untouched land and forest, which makes for a peaceful atmosphere overall.
Chain restaurants, stores, and businesses line North Houston Levee Road. There are plenty of supermarkets and specialty stores too. The Alrahmah Bakery and Meat market specializes in Mediterranean foods, just as the Baskin-Robbins next door specializes in many flavors of ice cream. South of these establishments stands Sophie's Donuts, whose glazed and iced donuts get rave reviews from locals.

Absolutely love this community, they keep the property nice , the management and maintenance team are awesome, I love the layout of my apartment and the garage..
My apartment experience has improved a lot over the last few months, primarily because the process for renewing my lease seemed more streamlined, the Resident Portal is much improved, and the maintenance team continues to provide top notch service no matter how small the task. Lastly, the leasing office staff have a great response time to resident emails with questions or issues.
Gate on the West side has been broken most of my lease. HUGE issue for me and #1 reason I will not be renewing my lease. They should have replaced the entire system if it is that bad. Gated community is a big reason I picked this complex. I am sure I am not the only one moving because of this. The cost of losing residents because of this probably is more than it would have cost to replace the gate system.
Pros: Apartment layouts are great & residents are pleasant. Cons: Trash compactor has had the same pieces of couches, dressers and mattresses sitting outside for over a month (so much for "luxury" apartments). Pool was shut down peak July with little explanation from management. Pest control service is a required monthly payment but even when you put in a service request for pest control - they will likely not stop by. Appliances are not updated.
It was a slow moving in process, appliances needed replacing, however, it was completed in a timely manner. Overall, nice staff ?? I love the trails in between the apartments.
It’s quiet, very peaceful. I think the staff could do better with communicating with their residents, but other than that I enjoy living there.
Nice quiet neighborhood. Most maintenance issues are resolved very quickly. Country living feel while only 2 minutes to be back in the city.
It is good. I wish it was a little was easier contacting management at certain times but overall I like the property.pool look like it’s getting cleaned to start going and chilling soon
The leasing office is a revolving door. No one ever answers the phones. It seems the leasing office staff is only concerned about renting to new tenants instead of answering the concerns of current residents. Sad thing is, I've read reviews of other comparable apartment complexes and understaffed, non-responsive leasing office personnel seems to be widespread.

Absolutely love these apartments clean quite and very spacious the leasing staff and maintenance crew are terrific as well. Definitely recommend living here
Desperately need a blown light bulb changed in my closet that has dry rotted and is hanging by a thread from the socket. Being given the runaround. I removed all my clothes and shoes from my closet to give maintenance room to do what they need to do but every time I call the leasing office asking for an eta they say they will relay the message…. And nothing. STILL also waiting on a ceiling water stain (from a roof leak) from a month ago to be painted over. I understand other residents have called in before me for maintenance requests like hvac/air issues also. I’m trying to be patient.
It would be great if the gate was working. The gate never works and it is very frustrating. I moved here and feel a lot more secure as a single mother when the gate is closed. It hinders people from entering the property that are not here to visit someone. In addition, the pool is not ready and the dog poop is excessive.
Amazing! Staff is very attentive, always on top of everything. It is a very calm atmosphere, neighbors are very friendly! The location is perfect!
So far I love the place. Amazing and quiet. The area is also safe as well and the neighbors are friendly. The only thing I could say would be a little off is the maintenance but other than that love the apartment

Gate is always broken. Pool is clean sometimes. Grass gets mowed. Dog friendly. Otherwise it’s a nice place to live. People are sometimes nice. Really kinda upset about the gate.

Overall this is an awesome place to live!! I feel safe living here and will recommend to others. The only thing that I would like to see change is the rent going down. I honestly feel more people would love to experience living here for a reasonable amount. I feel there is need for upgrades such as stainless steel appliances and other amenities since this is considered upscale apartment.

I’ve been living here since August 2024. So far, things have been ok. Maintenance requests are handled in a timely matter. Love my garage!! To just get out of my car and walk into my apartment is a wonderful feeling. I recently got some new neighbors that can be a little too noisy, especially with me working nights, but I feel that I can have the office address that. Hopefully the next few months will be better.

I have enjoyed my time here at the Villas at Houston Levee East for over 5 years. This is the longest duration of time that I have lived in any apartment community as an adult. What I enjoy the most is the quietness at night. I do not take it for granted. While I do not know my neighbors on a personal level (hard to connect with people in today’s times), everyone seems relatively respectful of each other, courteous, and polite. The only thing that would help to make things better is more communication and visibility from the property manager, Christy. There has been a lot of turn over with the leasing team over the past 2 years or so which has been a concern but the current ladies, Cambrian and Gabrielle have been with the community for a few months this year (2024) and are very professional! The maintenance team has also been respectful, helpful and responsive. Overall, if peace, quiet and the amenities offered here are what you’re looking for, this is the place to call home.

I love my apartment! It’s spacious, beautiful with baseboards, a gorgeous kitchen, and a 2 car garage. The office staff is amazing! They made my move in quick and easy. They made sure I was happy with my place and answers any concerns. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe environment!

I have been living at the Villas East for a month now. Everything has been going fine so far. Gabby was my leasing specialist and she was so sweet and relatable! I plan to began exploring some of the amenities offered. The maintenance team does a good job. I’ve only put in minor requests and they are usually completed by the next day. My only suggestion for them is to please inform us before entering the apartments. I, unfortunately was woken up, by the team trying to open my door after the privacy lock was put in place and I had to work that evening. That’s just a suggestion of being courteous. Overall, I love my apartment and attached garage.

my experience at first was not good. he resident i apply for had eclectically issues on move in day. I received a call on move in day and was giving another unit. the new unit is smaller and the garage is not a side by side. i ask can something be taken off rent since this was no fault of my on. it was told no and that i can move in my original unit in 7 days. i could not wait 7 days to move in because i had to be out my current place by Sunday. which will leave me homeless or pay for a hotel. i had already had mover set and a cleaning crew. basically i had to accept what i was delt. the staff was apologetic but the that did not help me. i still believe something could have been done.

Honestly lost the apartments very peaceful and quiet. Very community oriented and everyone is so friendly when you are walking around. Very clean space and I also feel very safe in this community.

Maintenance is good. Valet trash is very convenient. I haven’t seen wild life around so weekly pest control is good. I had a good experience here!

I love the apartment and I feel very safe. Spacious apartment. Love the layout. Gate breaks down way too much and there is not a lot of security around community areas.
